I've heard and read before that it's a little...awkward to speak about ex-boyfriends/ girlfriends when you're with someone else.

If you're really afraid of what he'll do, I think that anda should talk to him about this. Don't think to yourself that it's a stupid idea atau that something will go wrong. In a relationship, anda have to be able to trust the one that you're with. This doesn't just go for those who are married atau have been together for a long time. anda even have trust in your friends, right?

After anda speak to him about it, think to yourself if it's a good idea. I personally think that it would be awkward and change the subject, but if he's that insistent, why not just tunjuk him? You're not with (or maybe haven't ever been -- I'm not sure) either of the guys that anda used to like, so what should be the problem here? I suppose "jealousy" could play a part, but there really shouldn't be any of that. I would find the chances to be slim if anything.

If anda think that it won't take anda down the right road, then just avoid it. Change the subject and think of something else to do. Every person has the right to say no -- which is quite obvious -- but the problem is that they're either too scared to say it atau not sure how. anda can say to him, "Could we do something else, please?", atau whatever anda think would fit. If he's persistent and anda still don't want to tunjuk him (in contrast to what I berkata above), be a little assertive; NOT aggressive. anda shouldn't have to be forced to do something.
