Here's Chapter Two...right after Alice's first vision.
Alice P.O.V.
I didn't know how long I had been lying there. But I had watched the moon replace the sun so many times I wouldn't be shocked if I was eighty sejak now. The moon was just coming up again...watching me lying there still. My breaths same out slowly, my chest moving up and down. I wasn't sure how long I could lie here. I was getting thirsty. I put both my hands on the ground at either side of me and pushed myself up suddenly. I expected I would get dizzy because of the speed I'd gotten up at, but I didn't. I felt strong and full of energy...but thirsty. My eyes darted from side to side as I stood up slowly. So many scents were invading my nostrils. I tried to focus on less, but it didn't work. I finally caught the scent of something that drew my attention. I turned my head and ran - I was surprised at how fast and graceful - towards it. I stopped behind a belukar, bush and peered through the leaves. People. There were about three atau four people working on a bot about fifty meters away. I settled, fascinated, and started to watch. I found a small gap in between the bushes and was getting ready to slip through silently...
In no time at all, I wasn't there in the bushes, hunting and watching. I was back where I had been I-don't-know-how-long lalu where I had seen the man that had intrigued me so much. But he wasn't there any more. Suddenly, something rough pushed me from behind and I turned to see a big crowd pushing through the chatting and laughing crowds. I stepped swiftly to the side before I could be caught up in it all. That was when I noticed the mysterious man from before. He was watching me with careful eyes. I think I saw a bit of suspicion in them as well, but I wasn't sure. He was still standing in the door-way, on the other side of the boisterous crowd.
For a moment, we locked eyes. I found it hard to pull away. His eyes were stuck to mine. There was definitely suspicion there now. I finally found the strength to look away, breaking eye-contact. Bad idea. When I looked back, he was gone. atau at least, he was hidden behind the loud crowd who had been moving through the groups of people.
I was about to look away when the gang who had blocked him out moved aside, carrying on. I caught a quick glimpse of him, standing there just staring at me. All suspicion gone, now a small smile appeared on his lips and laughter sparkled in his eyes.
I was back in the bushes, my eyes locked onto the bot on which the people worked. I thought it over. Was it meant to be a sign? I backed off, back amongst the trees.
