This was writtian as a response to someone on DevianART.
Amanda's life was completely normal before Eric Matthews arrested her on a false Drug Possession charge.
Of course when she entered her imprizonment she became a drug addict and Heroine of all things can severely destroy someone mentally, turn them into something that they never thought they were capable of being. Her line in SAW II: "You can't know the things anda lose when you're locked away." And that's exactly true, in fact I think it's truer than even AMANDA knew! Amanda didn't even realize what had happened to her.
