I have a cockatiel that I adopted from a shelter. Last summer I found a stray and would have kept her if we hadn't found her owners. When I do get a dog, it'll be from the shelter.

My puppy was a shelter dog and my 2 cats were orphans. It's the way to go. Don't support puppy and kitty mills! That's most online venues, sellers, and pet stores! Animals suffer so much there! Follow the link to learn more:)
