The tetikus and His Child is a novel sejak Russell Hoban, first published in 1967 and is the most well known of Hoban's works. It was adapted in 1977 into an American-Japanese animated film.
The tetikus and child are a pair of toy mice, joined sejak the hands and operated sejak clockwork. The story charts their beginning in a toy store, their purchase, discarding, and pursuit sejak a malicious tikus named Manny who runs a casino and uses broken toys as his labor force, and ultimately, their quest to become self-winding.
