Deep, psychological Anime that anda can suggest to me?

I'm loosing for an Anime with a plot and story that I can do deep thinking and get Lost in. I really like Anime with a psychological theme.

As long as it doesn't have a lot of gore (I'm totally fine with violent scenes and blood, but I'm not in the mood for intestines all over the place) and excessive fanservice (I'm fine with panty flashes and all that kind of thing, but as long as the Anime is lebih plot driven and doesn't focus on it the whole series.)

I also like a little bit of detective and mystery themes in anime. (Death Note, for example.)

Any ideas? Please? c:

PMMM is very good, I Cinta that Anime too :) I've heard of Code Geass and Higurashi, but I haven't heard of the others! I'll look into what anda suggested and maybe give them a watch. Thanks for the suggestions!

It is a very good series. ^^ All are really great series in my opinion. I hope anda like them and you're welcome. :)

Ergo proxy is very psychological, even the dialogue can get pretty heavy on psychology every now and then. If your looking for an Anime with a plot and story that anda can do deep thinking and get Lost in, i would most definitely recommend it! It also has a mystery theme to it aswell. :) other psychological anime's that haven't been mentioned yet: -Chaos head -Bakemonogatari -Paranoia Agent -Mind Game -N.H.K ni yôkoso!

Clannad! Clannad is a great anime, and Clannad after story (Continuation of Clannad) is even better! It does have school life in it, but as the series goes on, it gets lebih serious. anda keep on guessing until the very end! ^_^
