At first yes... but he has other reasons/plot to be a shinigami in Soul Society..he 's the mastermind in Bleach..

Personally I now find Yami Bakura to be far lebih evil than Yami Marik. From what I can tell Yami Marik shows restraint in his powers unless u menyeberang, cross him atau try to get in his way
