Umineko vs. Higurashi

It seems that a lot of people like Higurashi lebih than Umineko.
I just wonder why? I mean in Umineko are witches, magic Rama-rama and it´s lebih mysterious.

The reason why I picked Umineko was because of Beatrice. Her ccraziness makes the tunjuk lebih enjoyable. I don't really like the plot tho.
