Is Masaomi Kidas hair originally black atau dark brown?

So I keep seeing Rawak gifs of masaomi having black hair when he was younger but I can't seem to find anything on it and I'm kind of confused. I can't remember if they actually say that he had an original color atau anything.

Based on that it could be implied that brown is his natural hair color in the Anime while it hasn't been explicitly confirmed atau stated what his true natural hair color is in the Manga / LNs.
