Horror is my favorite, followed by mecha.
I honestly love both.

I love horror the best. I don't really like mecha much.

This is in my top favorites. Mecha...my top least favorites, not one good one out there, except Code Geass (if you even count it).

at least I prefer this over Mecha.

@pumpkinqueen - I don't really consider Code Geass mecha, I think it falls more into the drama / tragedy genre.

Personally, I am quite fond of mecha series, probably because there are series in that genre that are outlandishly corny (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Mobile Suite Gundam WING, s-CRY-ed, & GUNxSWORD), series that develop their characters and relationships amazingly (Eureka Seven, Eureka Seven AO, Mobile Suite Gundam SEED, Mobile Suite Gundam SEED Destiny, & Guilty Crown) and ones that deconstruct their genre just like how Puella Magi Madoka Magica did to magical girl (Neon Genesis Evangelion, RaXephon). I enjoy the diversity.

I guess corny and robots don't mix well to me, I find it rather stupid to a point I can't watch more then a few episodes. Guess that is why I never got into Transformers.

^ That makes sense. I'm not real big on Transformers either so I can understand there. They really cheesy ones have the "so bad it's good" aspect on me though I understand why you wouldn't like them because they are pretty stupid at times.

This might sound kind of childish but I've always just really loved pretending it's me flying around in a giant robot when watching them... ಠ_ಠ It's rather fun.~
I wouldn't imagine it being very fun trapped inside of a horror anime but, I still do love both genres. XD

I like both but I love Mecha.

I never liked Mecha anime (except Code Geass of course)
Horror anime is cool genre just like Attack on titan or Another, wich I am a HUGE fan of.

I absoloutely LOVE both... But I'm going to have to go with Horror because of Mirai Nikki and Another.

Don't really like mecha that much.

while there's a handful of mecha i like i don't go out of my way to look for them
