Chapter 3: Last peminat fic Blair got some bad news, her mum had been struck sejak a car and had been killed, how is Blair going to cope? Find out now!
Blair was sitting in the living room of the VanderBass home, she hadn't been able to sleep, imej of her mother been struck were swirling around in her head, she couldn't get the image of the car just driving off out of her head. She hoped switching on the Televisyen would help but it just made things worse, all the news channels were taken up sejak the news of Eleanor Waldorf been killed.
Blair was deep in thoughts when she heard footsteps behind her, it was Chuck ''I woke up and anda were gone, I thought anda might have done something stupid'' Chuck sounded relieved to find Blair in the living room not on the roof of the hotel. Blair remained quiet, she didn't know what to say, she was glad that she had Chuck to take care of her and not Marcus, if she had still been with Marcus she would have come running to Chuck anyway, that's how much she loved him. ''I... just... don't... know... what... I... am... going... to... do... without... her'' Blair's voice broke as she berkata this and she held her head in her hands until Chuck sat down seterusnya to her and held her, rocking her back and forth like a little child, she was vulnerable at this time, she didn't deserve any lebih heartache.
Serena van Der Woodsen stepped out of her bedroom to find the Televisyen playing to itself and Chuck and Blair asleep in each other's arms, Serena was glad that Blair had someone to be there for her, to comfort her and to hold her, to embrace her, even if it was Chuck, but Serena knew Blair was happy and she didn't begrudge her of that happiness, not at all, she deserved to be happy, after all, Serena was the cause of her break up with Nate in the first place, that's what caused all the heartache.
Blair opened her eyes slowly and looked around the room, she didn't recognise the room and then remembered last night's events as they replayed in her mind like a film, she could feel the tears welling up in her eyes but she fought them back, she had done enough crying, Blair rose gently from Chuck's arms and saw Serena standing at the dapur counter drinking a cup of coffee, she walked over to where she was standing and sat down in one of the vacant seats, Serena smiled and Blair smiled back, the first time she had smiled in what must have been hours, she was able to smile as she had Chuck in her life, but the baru-baru ini heartache had caused her smile and her glow to disappear, she needed Chuck to bring that back. ''How anda feeling?'' Serena asked her best friend quietly so that she didn't wake her stepbrother.
''Okay, I suppose'' Blair whispered back as her answer to Serena's question, Chuck needed to sleep, Blair knew that she was going to need his help getting through this.
Breakfast time: Blair, Chuck, Lily, Bart, Eric and Serena were sat around the breakfast table.
''How are anda feeling Blair?'' Lily asked Blair sincerley. Blair felt Chuck's hand bungkus, balut in hers and squeeze it tightly as to say I am here for anda without saying the actual words, she smiled weakly at him and he smiled back, Chuck knew that Blair would need him, and he wad going to be there for her, he wasn't going to cause her any lebih hurt atau sadness. ''Alright, thankyou Lily''. Blair berkata weakly. ''Blair, anda do realise this is your utama now don't you'' Bart berkata to her, ''I do, thank anda Mr Bass''. Blair smiled weakly at the people around her, these were her family now, she knew these were the people who were going to help her through anything she needed.
Three hours later and Blair had just finished in the shower, she stepped out of the en suite bathroom which was adjoined to Chuck's room, Chuck was sitting on the bed, Membaca a book, hearing the door open he put his book down and stood up and went to face Blair, ''Hey, how anda feeling?'' he berkata sincerley, ''better for having anda in my life'' Blair berkata with a smile, ''Listen I need to go back to the house for some things if I am going to be staying here, I don't know whether I am going to be strong enough to go on my own, would anda come with me?'' Blair asked Chuck, ''Sure thing, anything for you'' Chuck berkata reassuringly.
Blair and Chuck stepped into the foyer of Blair's home, this was the first time she had heard it quiet and seen it so empty in such a long time, Blair approached the stairs and Chuck followed, Chuck went to stand sejak Blair as she was about to start the walk up to her's and her mother's rooms. Chuck held out his hand and Blair took it, she squeezed it to signal she was going to be okay.
Chuck and Blair entered Blair's bedroom, Blair leading Chuck in to the room, she opened her wardrobe door and pulled out a few cases, ''Can anda start packing my things? I'll be right back''
''Of course, see anda in a minute''. Chuck said. Blair turned down the corridor as she left her room and walked to a door, this was her mother's room, she took a deep breath and entered, the scent of her mother's perfume almost knocked Blair off her feet, Blair walked over to her mother's katil and sat on it cautiously, like she used to as a child thinking her Mom was going to wake up, after a couple of minit of sitting on her Mom's katil Blair walked over to her dressing meja, jadual where stood a beautiful antique jewellery box Blair's father had gave her Mom on their wedding day, Blair cautiously lift the lid and pulled out a pearl necklace, Blair could feel the tears welling up in her eyes but couldn't summon the strength to stop them this time, she slumped to the floor and curled herself up with her Mom's kalung gripped firmly in her hands.
Back in Blair's room Chuck wondered where Blair had gotten to, Chuck stepped out of Blair's room and turned to the way Blair had gone, he was just about to carry on walking past Eleanor's room when he heard a muffled sound, he opened the door with caution and stood in horror as he found Blair curled up on the floor of her Mom's bedroom clutching the pearl necklace, Chuck went and sat seterusnya to Blair, she looked up, her usual porselin face covered in tears and pain, Chuck wiped some of the tears that were visible away off her face, Blair began to sob again, she curled up again and lent her face in Chuck's lap, he whispered ''It's all going to be okay, I will be here for you''.
Back at the VanderBass utama that evening, it was makan malam, majlis makan malam time and Blair hadn't touched any of the Makanan that had been prepared and that was set in front of her, she couldn't take a bite of it, she knew she had to, she just didn't want to, she knew her bullima would come back, there was always a possibility of it.
That night Chuck and Blair lay in katil staring at the ceiling, Blair was snuggled into Chuck's chest, he was her protector and he knew this, he liked his role. ''I Cinta you'' Blair berkata in almost a whisper ''I Cinta anda to'' Chuck said. Blair smiled and he reassuringly smiled back, Chuck then switched off the light so that he could make sure Blair fell asleep, she needed to sleep, she hadn't slept all of the night before, she had spent most of it crying.
