I didn't realise it was Yama-jii until Chōjirō cut his face with his newly attained bankai and then my face was like >>> :O

I was confused as to why Choujirou was so pale, considering how tan he is in the anime. Aside from that, I Cinta his design. I swear, if he had been a significant character he would have had the potential to be my favorite. His fierce loyalty was so awesome >.<

And from the looks of it, this was approximately 3,000 years lalu when Yamamoto had created the academy, so it's no surprise he looks different. His appearance is like a general, to an extent, which further backs up my theory >:D

Now I'm starting to regret Choujirou's death...

a shock. They look so different from now. Choujirou looks pretty good( R.I.P ). He and yamamoto were very close and i think they still are even if one them is gone.
