I believe in God for several reasons that would take too long to type out, but the main two reasons are 1) because I've experienced Him myself, and 2) life doesn't make sense without Him in the picture. I'm not sure if evolution is true atau not, and I honestly don't care. But I do know that science can only take anda so far. It jawapan a lot of "how" questions, but not the "why" questions. That's where God comes in. anda could see evolution as a series of random, lucky coincidences and believe that this whole world somehow came together all sejak itself. But then, what would be the point of everything? If we're merely evolved Haiwan and the ultimate goal is surviving and evolving even more, then what about morality atau the basic concepts of Right and Wrong? Are they relative, things that society just accepts as "right" and "wrong"? If so, what's the point? atau are they absolute? If so, what makes them absolute? Or, anda could see evolution as the work of a Designer atau Creator. Someone who's putting all the puzzle pieces together to form a bigger picture. Someone who has a greater purpose for each atom and molecule, every cell, every star, every life. Someone who laid down all the laws of science and the rules of humanity at the very beginning. Someone who wants us to find Him and know Him through the evidence in His handiwork. The shadow proves the sunshine. The creation proves the Creator. And I think everyone at some point has experienced that strange, indescribable longing for something more, something greater than what we know...like you're homesick for a utama you've never known. That longing is a very deep part of who we all are as human beings, and pretending it isn't there won't make it go away. Needs and desires exist because there are things designed to fulfill them. Where there is hunger, there is food. Where there is thirst, there is water. Where there is loneliness, there is love. The fact that I long for something beyond what I see is yet lebih proof to me that He exists. Everyone has a God-shaped hole in their hearts, and only He can fill it. C. S. Lewis, penulis of The Chronicles of Narnia, talked about that a lot in his other books. He used to be a hard-core atheist, until God pwned him with his own logic. xD I highly recommend anda check some of them out, especially Mere Christianity and The Screwtape Letters. Lewis was an expert in Christian apologetics, and he could explain everything to anda better than I ever could. (No, I'm not expecting anda to convert after Membaca them atau anything lol. I just think you'd find them interesting.) ^__^
