Later that evening after Anakin left O-Mer and Jinx a their quarters, he went to his own. He tried to sleep but his thoughts always went to Ahsoka and the many missions they had been on. He held her damaged lightsaber to his chest and closed his eyes to the pain he felt in his heart.
Anakin tried meditation and it didn't work. He called for R2D2 who had finished downloading their last mission to the Jedi Council. The little droid didn't hesitate to come at his friend's call.
"Artoo...she's gone," was all he berkata as the droid rolled into his quarters.
Artoo let out a sad beep. In his own way he felt sad at Ahsoka's death. He moved over closer to where Anakin sat cross-legged on the floor.
"C'mere buddy and sit sejak me. I was just thinking about all the missions you, Ahsoka and I werre on. She really cared about, as much if not lebih than I do."
Artoo beeped softly and moved closer so Anakin could lean against him.
"Remember our first mission? I thought Ahsoka was gonna drive me crazy until I saw how Brave and caring she was. She really grew attached to Rotta the Huttlett and could she handle herself in a fight! Ol' Ventress didn't know what hit her!"
Anakin leaned closeer and a smile crossed his face for just a moment.
Artoo beeped in an amused way.
"She nearly surpassed me in fighting techniques. I know I taught her, but she picked up alot of things on her own. She never Lost that caring spirit, buddy, and that's what I loved most about her."
Artoo whistled softly and turned his domed head towards his friend.
"No, Artoo, I don't want to see Threepio atau Padme tonight. I don't feel like talking to anyone else...except you. I only wish Obi-Wan were here. He's easier to talk to than Masters Yoda atau Windu."
Artoo beeped a little louder.
"No...I don't want to talk to Master Plo."
Artoo let out an angry beep.
"No, he's the last person I want to talk to. I know anda mean well. I think I'll try to get some sleep. Will anda stay here with me? I don't want to be alone."
Artoo stood vigil seterusnya to Anakin's katil watching his friend sleep.
During the night Anakin was disturbed sejak bad dreams. Dreams of past missions and Ahsoka "dying" on Mortis.
"Snips!" he cried out as he sat up. He rubbed his eyes and saw Artoo standing near his bed. He layed a hand on Artoo's head, sighed and then layed back down.
A soft glow formed on the farside of the room. It brightened to a pale blue with a figure forming in it.
"Artoo, shut off your holo projector," Anakin berkata in a sleepy voice.
Artoo beeped in an annoyed tone.
"Artoo...please."
Master, a voice sounded in the semi-darkness. Then a ghostly figure appeared. It was Ahsoka.
Anakin sat back up his eyes widening with surprise and fear.
"S..Snips?"
Yes, Master, it is me.
"How?"
I guess I'm one with the Force now.
"Ahsoka..I'm so sorry. I should've gone to rescue you. I wasn't able to."
I know, but don't worry. I was able to survive thanks to your training. Thanks to you, I helped lead O-Mer and jinx to safety even though Kalifa and I didn't survive. It was bad, but I died hoping the way I would: sejak fighting.
"You fight better than I do."
the image smiled at him and moved closer to stand seterusnya to Artoo.
Master, I know anda are hurting. Don't worry about me. I am in a better place. anda are not only my Master but my friend and brother. An annoying older brother at times but I couldn't ask for a lebih caring mentor to teach me the ways of a Jedi. In my last moments of life, I became a Jedi Knight. Thank you, Master, for fulfillling my greatest dream.
The image bowed in reverence.
"Ahsoka.." Anakin tried to say past the lump in his throat.
Master, don't go through this alone. Let others help you. I sense the guilt and sadness anda are feeling. Don't blame yourself. Being a Jedi has risks and anda of all people should know that. I know anda are angry at Master Plo and that makes me sad. He is hurting too. Seek his help out. I know he really cares about you. Please, Master, let Master Plo help.
"I miss you," Anakin whispered as he fought to keep the tears inside.
I miss anda too. Don't worry about me because I'm fine. Just remember how much I was honored to be your Padawan learner. I have to go now and before I do, remember this: I Cinta anda and always will. I'll be in your heart....forever.
"Don't go, Ahsoka. I Cinta anda too," Anakin berkata hardly able to talk.
Goodbye, Master.
Ahsoka's image faded away leaving Anakin staring at the angkasa where it was. He felt such a pain in his hati, tengah-tengah he wanted to scream. Swallowing hard, he layed back down and fell into a troubled sleep.
