~Not Mine. Taken from the Creepypasta wiki~

We've all had those times, late at night. Maybe you're a little tired, and anda turned off your lamp to help anda relax, so it's just anda and the dull glow of the screen. anda hear a little noise behind anda and jump. anda turn around, and there's a jet-black silhouette of a man in the corner. But as your eyes focus, anda realize it's only just your curtain. Damn cat was playing with it again, got it all twisted up. The house was just settling, and your mind jumped to a dark place. Nothing to be afraid of, not really.

That's pareidolia. It happens to everybody at some point, so anda shrug it off and go on with your day.

But what if anda don't? Is there a tiny, slim chance that you're getting a peek behind the veil of reality, just for a perpecahan, berpecah second? There on the edge of your awareness, where shapes become ambiguous and the rational part of your brain thinks it isn't worth the effort ... maybe that's where the monsters live. So anda start paying a little lebih attention. Maybe you're the kind that's afraid of missing out on something, even if that something wants to shove thumbtacks under your eyelids.

Maybe that's just me.

The days go by, and you've always got one little corner of your mind focused on that fuzzy line where vision ends. Nothing noteworthy happens for the longest time, and anda start telling yourself what a silly idea this was. Monsters? Please. Just when anda start to lay the idea to rest for good, it happens again. A dark shape, something less than a man but lebih than an animal. Two coal-red eyes that ooze hunger. Still, it's only a vague impression of evil. anda whip your head around, your hati, tengah-tengah hammering at your ears. Just the damn lamp.

Maybe your brain is just menunjukkan anda what anda expect to be there, anda reason. After all, the mind plays tricks to keep reality in line with expectations. Still, you're really interested now. Whatever this is has your attention, and you've never been able to let a thing rest once it piques your curiosity.

anda become even lebih vigilant. In the back of your mind, anda take stock of your peripheral vision. anda try to push out further, expanding your vision beyond that impossible-to-place boundary between sight and darkness. You're dedicated to this crazy task now. For nearly three weeks straight anda probe, but to no avail. The curtain isn't drawing back any further. anda see nothing out of the ordinary, so anda give it a rest, once and for all. It's silly to think there's some hidden place between realities, that of billions and billions of people you're the first to notice. anda always wanted to be special, didn't you?

So anda go back to the humdrum of daily routine. Maybe anda were just bored. And then one night, you're back at the computer Membaca about some political snafu in the Middle-East. You're not really into it, but anda couldn't be bothered to find something better to do, not right before bed. The room is dark. It's just like that first night, anda muse. The creature colored like Televisyen static standing at your shoulder nods slowly and wait that's not right.

anda jump sideways, twisting as anda fall. Nothing there, but nothing in its place either. No lamp, no curtain, no poster, nothing but air in that empty angkasa where it stood. anda stare for a good while, rubbing the nasty bump on your head. Finally, anda step to the dapur to grab an ice pack from the freezer. Troubled thoughts twist at your brain. Two is a coincidence; three is a trend. You're hooked now. Maybe your mom always told anda to quit while anda were ahead.

Maybe that's just me.

You're beginning to see the pattern. Nothing happens when you're really paying attention. When you're waking up, in that time before your brain clicks on, when the sun is just rising? Sure. When your guard is down and you're halfway to daydreaming? Definitely. In those gaps where your critical mind gets childlike, that's where the cracks start to show. And weren't there monsters in your closet when anda were little, before anda knew better?

You're at the office the seterusnya day, typing away at your computer. Your brain disengages, and anda think back to the night before. It still has anda spooked. A thought zigs by, and you're reminded of those nights laying in katil when anda were just perahu nelayan kecil, pukulan between awareness and dreaming: anda could watch your body relax and your breathing even out. Kind of like walking the edge of a razorblade. So, god help you, anda start practicing. It's kind of like meditation. anda spend some time every morning and night lounging in bed, drinking in that feeling of being on the edge of wakefulness. anda can feel it like an intuition, and anda start recalling that body memory in the office while you're filling out your busywork.

One fine morning, you're doing your practice and a gaunt, lanky creature with skin the palest white and black holes where its eyes should be strolls past the opening of your cubicle - just to your right, plain as day. anda nearly repeat the stunt with the chair again, but anda manage to land square on your feet this time. anda peek your head around the cubicle wall, and see the back of your coworker Craig as he walks away. He slows to a halt, looks over his shoulder, and gives anda a wink before continuing on his way. anda and Craig aren't that friendly, and anda think anda see a smirk on his face. But he was too quick for anda to get a good look.

It's just your imagination, right?

... right?

Growing up, I’d been a peminat of being told stories when I went to sleep at night. My mother would tuck me in, making sure I was as comfortable as I could be under my blue-and-green covers before diving into another anecdote of her own choice. Her stories were always pleasant, and in the event that I found one a bit scary, she’d tone it down a bit for me. They ranged from all origins: some had been passed down through her family, some she’d memorized from buku and fairy tales. Some were her own creations, and some were true stories, but typically I liked each and every one of them. A select...

As my foot descends, it comes in contact with and crushes something small and brittle. I look down to see that small skeletons litter the ground beneath my feet. They are indiscernible. Some look ever so slightly familiar, approximations of the skeletal configurations of Kucing atau dogs, but most are entirely foreign. The wind sweeps the dust into the air in small clouds that swirl around me. As they swirl they seem to form letters, perhaps even words. I cannot tell what they say. Their meaning is Lost to me.

The opening becomes closer; the call lebih desperate and alluring. I can no longer feel...

I Cinta jigsaw puzzles. So when I found one on my phone that allowed me to make any size puzzle I want with a snap of a picture I was hooked. I started sejak taking pictures of Rawak shots in my room, clicked “cut” then “mix” and poof, I was off wasting time. After about 30 minit of putting my “room” back together I decided to take a picture of myself to cut up and puzzle.

I decided to cut the picture for the puzzle at an expert difficulty. It was pretty awesome seeing my face perpecahan, berpecah into hundreds of different puzzle pieces, each one flaking off one sejak one like an ember to the floor...

If an old lady asks anda to help her make a quilt, it’s best to politely decline.

In the area surrounding the town of Pearl, Mississippi, people began to go missing. Eyewitness reports told of a set of three elderly ladies. The word was that at least one of the three would talk to the victims before they would mysteriously vanish in the following days.

One lady, possibly the last intended victim, was approached sejak one of the women about helping her and her two other Friends make a quilt. She mentioned that they would pay well. Before the old lady left, she handed the woman a business card.

Luckily...
