ok why do anda hate ashley seaver??

I find it weird that AJ Cook had to be cut out of the tunjuk because of budget issues and then a new character appears that basically replaces her. That just doesn't make any sense to me...

I dislike the fact that the producers replaced JJ with a poor imitation of our beloved Media Liason.

But I can't stand Seaver's character either. For one, she looks absolutely lifeless. Her eyes look dead, and she looks like she's bored all the time, and would rather be elsewhere. Apart from this, I really don't see the point of her character. Half the time that she's around, all every other character is doing is trying to explain some observation atau the other to her that she seems unable to understand. Then there's the fact that her backstory is absolutely pathetic. What the tunjuk generally does is reveal a character's past as the episodes go. But Seaver's is done. Gosh, her dad was a serial killer! Therefore, we must sympathize with her and make her, a mere FBI Cadet, a part of the BAU, disrespecting every other member of the team's effort to actually get where they are! And the fact that she was freaking highlighting her textbook with bleeding markers in one of the episodes! Jeez, I did that when I was 8th grade! Finally, they seem to be attempting to shove Reid/Seaver down our throats, but what the heck was with the way she dismissed his Doctor Who rant in Coda?

Well, sorry about my rant, but there's my opinion for you.

I really consider the Seaver character useless, but I don't hate her. I find annoying the people who hate Rachel Nichols because of Seaver. I mean, seriously, guys, it's not her fault her character kind of sucks. For me, there isn't really a reason why she's there, working with the most brilliant minds in the FBI. That's another thing that annoys me. She's there only because her dad was a serial killer. Rachel Nichols, on the other hand, seems to be a sweetheart. But it's gonna take me a long time until I'll get used to Seaver...

she was so mean to Reid in Coda and it looks like she doesn't give a crap that Prentiss Is gone

I don't hate her but I think a lot of what anda berkata might be true for some people - they are upset about the aj/paget cuts and resent Ashley for being there instead. Plus it doesn't seem like she's a full-fledged member of the team yet like isn't she a trainee atau an FBI cadet? So her character on the tunjuk isn't that mature atau evolved yet and maybe that is evident and makes her seem blah so that makes what people feel about her and the situation even worse. I am also shocked and pissed about AJs and paget's cuts.

I don't hate Seaver atau the actress who plays her, Rachel Nichols. At the beginning, I didn't WANT to like her, but her first ep. I thought was really great both character-wise and acting-wise from Rachel. I don't think her character has been very well utilized since that first ep., but I'm gibing her a chance because Rachel Nichols reallly is sweet. It wasn't her fault A.J. left; she had nothing to do with it. :)

well actually aj wasn't fired just that time they cut wages and they had to replace her with someone cheaper let's say but aj has oportunity to comeback...What about Ashley i do like her but i want to know lebih about her character...

I wouldn't really say I hate the character but I do strongly dislike her. For two reasons one being the obvious for replacing JJ in a way and then I just find the character pointless and boring. Nothing against Rachel Nichols I like her as an actress and just feel bad that she got the oppurtunity to act on a great tunjuk at a bad time. They should have waited to bring on a new character until the whole JJ/Prentiss mess was cleared up and peminat-peminat had cooled off at being upset. I think the character would have been better welcomed and accepted if two of the shows dearly loved characters weren't axed the same season she was brought on.

I don't hate her at all! It's not her fault, that JJ had to leave. We should be upset about CBS, and what they did to AJ and Paget.
Well Seaver's character couldn't shine till now, I hope the writers will write some better scripts for her.

I think she's too young and doesn't have the experience to sertai the B.A.U, which is an elite team in the F.B.I. Have anda ever seen an elite team hiring someone under 30? Of course, there's Reid, but Ashley is far from having a 187 IQ!
Then, I think she replaced J.J. in a bad time. If she had come at the end of the fifth season, while both J.J. and Emily were still there, maybe the peminat-peminat would have accepted her. Like some other fans, I don't see the point of firing A.J. and Paget for financial reason just to hire this girl after that. It doesn't make sense to me.
And finally, Ashlet seems to be totally "out" of the team: she looks like as she, gerself, didn't know what she's doing there. She doesn't quite match with the other members of the team, with the spirit that exists in the team (maybe, again, because of her lack of experience?).

I don't hate Ashley.At 1st i hated her cuz she replaced JJ but then i started likeing her.I really miss JJ & i hope that Ashley will be on criminal minds 4 some lebih episodes now that JJ's back.

I HATE her. I have some idea for plot lines: Seaver drowns, Seaver gets shot, Seaver goes missing and no one bothers to look.

JJ has always been my fav character. And normally, I always would hate any replacement atau any character who is new in the show. But I've never hated Rossi and Ashley for a moment. I actually like them a lot!

I don't hate atau like her. My opinion is still up in the air with Ashley. I'm always willing to give new characters chances but there are times when I wonder why she is even there. I think they need to write her better. Mind anda I am a huge JJ peminat & was mad that she left but that is not Ashley's fault. I also agree with people who say she was brought in at the wrong time.

I actually don't mind Seaver- the character that is. It's the actress I can't stand. She's not very diverse and she has no personality- especially so in this show. Does she really have to go around with her eyes half-open all the time? Is the character high? atau dead?

On a side-note, I Cinta JJ- I didn't at first (always loved the actress regardless) but she grew on me.

I find it kind of refreshing to have a new character on the show. I really like Emily and JJ and all, but I also want to see some new characters on the team.

I think it's because she replaced AJ when no real CM peminat-peminat wanted her gone and because of the whole sob story "my daddy killed people and now Im a strong FBI agent who likes to disobey." I just didnt like her in general but the fact she looked so much like "JJ" and replaced AJ were just extra.

Okay so I'm a little late to the party but I'm only catching up on criminal minds now after forgiving the tunjuk for the absence of Mandy Pantinkin (please don't comment, just saying I Cinta Mandy, loved Jason, and found it difficult to get used to the tunjuk without him when the change first happened - it just had a different groove I couldn't get used to at the time) but I fail to understand the hate of Ashley Seaver to this hari and find it a real shame that the character was Lost due to unnecessary hate. Yes the firing of AJ and Paget was rather... disgusting for lack of a better term, it made CM look like an old Boys club but Ashley had a new dynamic not seen before and could have taken CM in a different direction plot wise. She was inexperienced and that would have allowed for new mistakes and new interesting plots, but now if seems as though CM has gone in the direction of giving peminat-peminat lebih of the same. Of course, if the peminat-peminat are happy with lebih of the same that's only logical, it is just still a real shame,

I for one do not agree with hating a character just because they could actually be a prospective Cinta interest for another popular character on the show. It's hard enough for women to get truly empowering roles on Televisyen without being forced out of it because peminat-peminat are protective of their on screen boyfriends. I was a little freaked out sejak the visual similarities between AJ and Rachel, don't think that was a smart idea, but that's not something Rachel could have really helped - she was born that way guys (as she is naturally blonde and blue-eyed), CBS hired her! I'm reaching the end of season six now and I genuinely don't think the character had enough time to flourish before being written off as 'boring'. Even Emily took me some time to like and deem as interesting and that wasn't poor writing, that was down to the set up of the show. CM episodes usually are standalone stories, they have a beginning, middle and end within one episode, sometimes two. In those standalone stories we learn tidbits of the characters lives but we don't really feel anything for them because it's all stuff that's happened in the past.

The idea of a several episode story arc wasn't REALLY introduced until Aaron's escapades with the Boston Reaper and honestly, I'm surprised it took that long for the writers to realise we need that sort of thing to become lebih interested and invested in their characters. Ashley Seaver, from what I can see, never got to her several episode story arc and therefore never had a chance. She was written off before she truly began.

I don't hate her per se, but I dislike the way her character was written. She came across in Season 7 as a bit of a Mary-Sue. They were in a rush to add her to the team to replace JJ.

I have no idea why I hate her, I just do I guess.. It doesn't help that she replaced JJ but the way she jumps into things and always makes things about her.. Also, I think being a relative of a serial killer, it makes her lebih emotionally attached to cases which could interfere with how she works a case.. She also didnt have much personality to her character as the others do, she's just a trainee

I think JJ is sejak far the best, but Ashley is a perfect replacement. I was skeptical initially because I was ticked off at the people who fired JJ. BUT after a few episodes I realized she was doing a great job. She seemed to fit in, she's a really good actress and she is beautiful! What lebih could anda want if anda can't have JJ back?

To be entirely honest, Ashley Seaver felt like the writers pulled a character out of some cringy fanfiction on the internet. The tragic backstory is way too cliche and was scripted in what felt like a very overdramatic, unrealistic way, and the character in general was just too perfect - she came off as very unrealistic to me. The circumstances of her ending up on the team seemed forced, and she never meshed well with the rest of the team, just disrupted the interaction dynamics.

I am not keen on Ashley Weaver.
Not just because she replaced JJ, but also because she seems way too confident and self righteous, she put both herself and her team in jeopardy on her first case. She forbade Hotch on her FIRST case. And also she has no personality. The only thing remotely interesting about her is that her dad is a serial killer.
Disregarding all of that, she judges everyone so easily on the team, doesn't add anything to the team that it doesn't already have, and puts the team off balance.
The fact that I like JJ has not swayed my opinion of seaver. She just isn't a good character in my opinion x
