Proving that anda can't keep a good bad girl down, Smallville alum Cassidy Freeman returns to The CW to bedevil another crazy-hot cast. "I guess they're trying to tell me something," says the former Tess Mercer with a laugh. "When I was cast on Smallville, I was like, 'Really? Evil angry girl?' Because I can't stop laughing in real life."

In the March 15 Vampire Diaries episode — a flashback to 1912 — Freeman plays Sage, a bloodsucker with ties to the Originals, as well as Ian Somerhalder's Damon. "She [is] really aware of what being a vampire is and owns it," says Freeman, who says it "has been a dream to play a vampire" and that she was "jumping for joy" when she got the part. Sage will also resurface in modern-day Mystic Falls with a murky agenda. "She comes back for good reasons, but she is [out] for herself."

CREDDIECHANNY WTH? Isn't Sage supposed to be a bronze skinned muscular tall Blonde vampire with ties to the Celestial Court?

SpuffyDelena ^ I've not read the books, the only thing I know is that Sage is a dude. __________ I really do wish they would have left Sage a guy, but anyway, here's more info: "The episode is called ’1912,’ and it is a time about a hundred years ago that I like to call as when Damon was still the Damon that walked out the door in a huff of disappointment and piousness, when his brother was out of control in 1864, and somewhere between 1864 and the pilot episode, Damon became the Damon that we know and love, and this episode kind of gives us a little glimpse into that, and what this character Sage, played by Cassidy, had to do with it, she teases." - Julie Plec BTW the flashback episode is (our very first!) Damon-centric!

20cosmogirl she probably the one that help damon like lexie with stefan. i think sage is the one that help damon accept being a vampire and become the vampire he meet in season 1.

HaleyDewit Why is everyone so worked up over this? Damon met a vampire chick in 1912, what's so weird about that? I'm just happy we'll finally see a Damon flashback episode.

HaleyDewit Plus, if this Sage girl happens to be one of the few people that don't hate on Damon, then I'm welcoming her. Damon should have some friends, even if those friends are women.

HaleyDewit ^ Someone who can tell EVERYTHING Stefan conciously neglected to tell, EVERYTHING Stefan showered with Damon's mistakes and flaws. And do I hope she DOES NOT LIKE Stefan!

Pranky ^ If she likes Stefan or prefers Stefan to Damon, I will literally shoot myself. I mean, why does EVERYONE has to go for Stefan. Believe me, I have nothing against me. It's just... Kind of unfair.

Nutika I hope she will be one of girls from past that liked him more. Like witch from beggining of this season :) And I think we don't have to worry about Delena in this case :)
