Why do anda think it is that a lot of people honestly don't care about the environment?

Well there are various reasons for why that is...

Greed runs the world. There's just some people out there that couldn't care less about what they're doing to the Earth as long as they end up with a good profit. Some people simply don't realize the effect they have when they throw trash out into the street, atau if they use too much electricity. Either that atau they just don't care because decades from now when the Earth could be ruined, all our resources could be used up, and even the air might not be selamat, peti deposit keselamatan to breath, they will already be dead. It wont affect them, so they don't care. They selfishly don't care about the future generations who are going to have to suffer through our mess.
atau they simply don't think they can do anything to help, so they just don't even try. They don't realize that something as simple as turning off the lights when not using them, taking showers instead of baths, walking atau riding your bike, using paper instead of plastic ect. can do significantly a lot.
atau they are blind and think we have plenty of resources and that there's nothing wrong atau out of balance with the environment.

We live in a world where people would rather breath polluted air than to add a few minit to their commute sejak walking atau cycling.
I find it beyond disturbing.

I think it's because people don't realize that every time they litter, they could cause serious harm to their future. They know they're harming the environment, but they don't think that they'd be hurting the lives of others sejak making the future a worse place to live. They think that the resources that they have now will probably last for another million years, which is very untrue. And of course a lot of people just don't care much about anything. That's just how some people are.

I'll lend some credence to the opposing viewpoint - it's because they're lebih concerned with the direct impacts than they are with what is still largely uncertain worries about what might happen if we spew an indeterminate amount of greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere. Lets face it, there's a lot we don't know about what's going to happen, when and how it will happen, and how close we are to it now. Nearly every climate scientist agrees that greenhouse gasses create a harm, but the number of confounding factors is immense and we can never account for every variable. So they make assertions about what methane and carbon dioxide do, all true, and then when no one sees a direct impact, they often stop caring. Most people's foci are on their day-to-day, and an impact they can't see nor fully understand is not on bahagian, atas of their senarai of concerns.

I kind of think it's due in part to sheer ignorance atau possibly the belief that a single person can't make a difference so they don't even try. It's not that they don't care it's that they aren't aware. It's that they've Lost hope and feel a bit powerless.

Some people don't care about the environment. The government does not care about the environment. The government only cares about money so they can be rich. Caring for the environment is far lebih important than having money. What the heck! We can save the earth together. We can stop global warming. We can help the poor. We can sertai world vision. We are caring for the environment!
