Debat Soalan

Could Trump actually win the presidency?

Please Americans, tell me it isn't so. Seeing the amount of support he has on American news sites has the rest of the world a little worried... are these commenters part of the political fringe? atau is support for his presidency bid actually mainstream? What's the situation over there in the US of A.

Technically, any of the candidates could actually win.

Realistically, no, he's not. How it works is that there are two big parties in the running: the Democrats and the Republicans, and each party will elect 1 candidate to run for president, and then America undian for one of those two.*

Trump probably is not even going to get the Rebublican nomination (link). Furthermore, most people aren't actually polling right now (and really won't even be paying much attention to the campaigns until seterusnya year), so Trump doesn't have as much support as it looks like he does. (link)

The reason it looks like Trump has a lot of support is because he is a master at hitting the buzzwords for the hardcore right wing conservatives (and those are the people who are polling). So the right-wing news outlets cover him because he's saying what they want to hear, and the rest pick him up because what he's saying is so off the wall, they have to cover it.

*it's actually a lot lebih complicated than that, but that's the general bare-bones gist of it.

Also as New Hampshire further proves my point with an artikel about voters being torn between Sanders (socialist democrat) and Trump (NY 'conservative'). If it was the hardcore right wing conservatives that made up the majority of Trump's base then he and Sanders wouldnt be in competition for the same voters: link

Only 31% of Trump supporters identify as "very conservative" falling under your "hardcore right wing conservative" claim which means 69% of Trump Supporters do NOT identify as "very conservative". My sources are CNN and the dinding jalan Journal which are highly respected in America and much lebih moderate than most news outlets therefore less biased: link

Oh God, I hope not! >.<
That would just destroy the entire country!
I think the reason he has a lot support is because he is so... controversial. He causes a lot of commotion with everything he says atau does. Some think he'd make a "strong" leader, but he won't. He's just spitting out first-grade insults to anyone who doesn't agree with him atau sees as a threat. People are so... stupid. The reason why I am so against him becoming president is not much because he's racist, atau insults everyone, atau "evil", but because he's a coward. I'd much rather live under dictatorship than live under a cowardly president.
I shall not mention his name. >.>

"Destroy the whole country" and screw up the world with it, lel. That is your burden, American voters- your political choices affect the rest of the world. At least PM Tony Abbott only ruined my OWN country xD LOL "first-grade insults" is the only thing we seem to hear from Trump, apart from the few racist policies he's put out to make a media kerfuffle, like forcing the Mexicans build a fence, atau tracking every Muslim in the country.

candylover246, I wouldn’t say anda caused a controversy atau at least I don’t see one here. It looks to me like we are just debating this issue and I am proud to say respectfully, in my opinion. If anyone disagrees then I apologize because I am certainly only trying to have a respectful Debat here and not trying to insult anyone here and apologize if I had as I sincerely don’t mean to. To answer your soalan yes I am Trump supporter because I think of all of the people running, he is the best for the job. It’s a shame that anda are so willing to judge me before anda get to understand me and I find it incredibly ironic that the same people who accuse Trump of being so bigoted are reacting worse than him sejak being so bigoted towards his followers. If anda think there is such a problem with Trump supporters, then perhaps anda should step outside of your comfort zone just enough to actually hear one out and ask about the things that bother anda so anda might actually understand them otherwise I don’t see what your real problem with Trump is if anda are willing to do the same things that anda think he does? Do anda not see that as completely hypocritical because it certainly is based on the definition?

ThePrincesTale, I don’t think your komen-komen come across as an attack at all. I understand your concern and your position and I hope that anda don’t find my komen-komen in response to be disrespectful in any way either. My husband and I do this all the time and sometimes in the end I realize that I was wrong and he helped me see things that I didn’t see and other times he realizes he was lebih wrong and I helped him see things that he didn’t see. I think this has been a healthy Debat between us, in my opinion, but please correct me if anda think I am wrong. anda certainly haven’t insulted me for my opinion and I respect that so thank anda for that.

Yes, I think it's possible that he could actually win the presidency, especially considering his strong numbers in the tinjauan-tinjauan and large amount of support with Americans he seems to have, despite the mainstream media being lebih against him for his controversial remarks, especially since he initially announced he was running.

Ironically, the mainstream media is lebih against him than the American population is and it's very likely that he has lebih support than reported. This is a possibility because A) Mainstream media is largely against Trump and therefore makes people feel the need to stay quiet atau be ashamed about their support for Trump so B) When people are polled face to face, the numbers for Trump are pretty low. However, when polled on the phone atau online, Trump's numbers are about 20+% higher. Obviously there is the issue of online tinjauan-tinjauan not being very trusted so this could go either way but it's still certainly a possibility.

That being said, tinjauan numbers in advance are not completely reliable. As mentioned in the beginning of this thing, Trump has been dominating in the tinjauan-tinjauan since his announcement but these tinjauan-tinjauan are also “completely unreliable” in the opinions of some. As much as there is a chance that he is doing better than the tinjauan-tinjauan are showing, he could also be doing worse.

Additionally, most tinjauan-tinjauan are based on the scenario of Trump vs Clinton, since until recently Clinton has been claimed to be "unbeatable" in her party. Her runner up is Bernie Sanders who is starting to tinjauan higher whereas he was reported before as not really having a chance”. Quite a few people who had supported Trump also supported Sanders but didn't think Sanders could beat Hilary. Now that he is menunjukkan a stronger chance of winning, as well as Hilary Clinton might be ineligible to run as a result of her criminal activity etc, there is a real soalan of Sanders vs Trump that hasn’t really been polled and debated much before so the numbers related to this unexpected “showdown” (if anda will) seem to be anyone’s guess.

Lol, what? I know he's running for president... I meant that it is a massive joke that he, personally, is running for president.

Kuro_Hyou666, I completely understand where anda are coming from and politics can be very confusing. This is something everyone really credits Trump for right now is the fact that whether anda love, hate atau dont care about him, he has made Americans far lebih interested in their own politics which I think is a good thing because in my opinion, the government loves when the population turns off to politics because then they're lebih likely to let anything slide and that's what America was becoming which inspired both Trump and Sanders to run. They dont have similar stances but they are both outside of the political "gang" so to speak which has revived an interest in politics in America where the people are starting to feel like they are lebih the government like it should be (as it was made to be) rather than being for the government. If that makes any sense? I live in the US and follow both sides of the race as I feel it is directly related to my life who will become the president. I have watched media from both sides about both sides and watched many utama YouTube video about what people think about all of the candidates. I will just end with saying that if anda know this one thing then it will help dissect information a lot: The media in the US is very pro-Hillary and anti-Trump and anti-Sanders. I wont bore anda with it but I can assure anda without a doubt that Hillary Clinton would be the worst candidate to get nominated of anyone running right now. All of the things Trump is accused of being are lebih true about her than him. Trump and Sanders have an honesty appeal and the majority of US citizens recognize Hillary Clinton to be a liar and untrustworthy person.

Well the soalan was posed as though they wanted to know what was objectively going on, not what people's personal opinions about him were. Objectively, he has a very high chance of winning. I understand anda don't like him but he's no where near an idiot and I find that kind of hyperbole about him to be very hypocritical coming from people who don't like him because they find him to be "too much". anda don't need to despair for Americans, a large amount want him and if anda lived in America, then anda might understand it better from a lebih objective perspective. :) He is very suited for election, Hillary Clinton is not. She's already proved herself incompetent at lower levels of government, the last thing she needs is an even bigger platform to create scandals and make monumental, nationally affected negative changes. :)
