I know Frozen isn't part of the Disney Princess franchise but this movie was on the senarai of Filem to watch for months before I finally started doing these artikel-artikel so please just go with it. atau don't read it. Whichever keeps things drama free.
Tonight's rewatch: Frozen
Last time watched: 2014
How much did I like this movie as a kid?
I was 20 going on 21 when this movie was released in theaters so I wasn't exactly a kid, lebih like a kid at heart. I wasn't excited about this movie at the time and it didn't help when Disney released childrens buku that spoiled the plot, including the Hans spoilers, a bulan atau two before the movie actually released. I didn't read the book but a user was oh so kind enough to go on the Disney Princess spot's dinding and announce that to everyone so then I Lost even lebih interest. It wasn't until the movie came out and everyone was talking about it and going on about how good it was that I decided to go see it. Here's how much I liked it; I watched it 3 times in theaters (once with my oldest sister, once on my birthday with my husband, and one lebih time with my mom and niece when I was feeling depressed). It was almost 4 once Disney released the sing along version but I didn't have a ride to the movie theater so I had to sit that one out. Eventually my hype for the movie kinda died but I still Cinta listening to the soundtrack over and over again and I still like getting merch every now and then.
How much of this movie have I forgotten:
As I've berkata before in my artikel about the Cinderella remake, since I watched this movie somewhat recently there isn't much about this movie I forgot.
And since we're getting to the Filem I haven't watched that long lalu (next one will be a movie I watched in 2015) I've decided to start talking about the things I Cinta about the Filem I've recently watched. It won't be different from me talking about how much I forgot since I talk about how much I Cinta those Filem too anyway.
The only thing I really forget about this movie is how things weren't even explained properly like how Elsa got her powers in the first place atau how even after the movie made it clear that she couldn't control her powers she suddenly knew how to create a palace and alter her dress and make sentient snow creatures atau how Elsa could have kept her powers secret from everyone when there had to have been news of a princess having ice powers, right? At least with Rapunzel's magic hair the only one who knew was Mother Gothel.
Why I Cinta this movie so much:
So first, I'll be talking about the personal reasons for why I loved this movie so much. At the time this movie released one of my sisters was going through a rough time (not going to give any details) so I wasn't seeing that much anymore. Elsa and Anna reminded me so much of my relationship with my sister because we used to be so close when we were little but as she got older we drifted apart. We're fine now but it was still such an emotional time and watching Frozen helped me with what I was going through.
The way Elsa was in this movie reminded me so much of me too. I've had depression and anxiety for as long as I can remember and I'm prone to panic/anxiety attacks and I was alone for most of my life because I was different from other kids and was called a freak. I know I sound like a broken record when I say this but Let it Go did help me with my depression and would help me feel better with what I was going through at the time. And I remember when I first watched the movie even I was thinking, "Wait, what?" when Anna berkata yes to Hans' proposal so early in the movie. I don't have an issue with the use of True Love's Ciuman in the earlier Filem atau couples getting married at the end of their Filem even after knowing each other for a few days because those are Filem about romance and fairy tales and at least for most of these couples we spend an entire movie getting to know these characters. Hans and Anna getting engaged so early in the movie after knowing each other only for a few hours was just...I'm sorry, I couldn't. My husband tried proposing to me when we hadn't even officially met face-to-face yet (we met online and skyped for 2 years before actually meeting each other in person) and I knew that was a bad idea and we broke up after living together for a few months. It all obviously worked out but I'm still with Elsa on this one.
Anna, also, reminded me of myself too. There's times where I get really excited like Anna, I get awkward, and I talk a lot. I've actually berkata some things Anna berkata before I even saw the movie. It's gotten to a point that, again, like Anna, I get called annoying for how I act.
Now I'm going to talk about the movie itself.
First off, I loved Elsa and Anna's relationship. Their relationship at the beginning of the movie, not the whole movie in general since they were seperated for most of it. I'm glad that in the Frozen shorts we get to see the sisters together lebih and I can't wait to see lebih of them together in the sequel.
The animasi for the snow and ice is probably my kegemaran thing in this whole movie. I Cinta snow so seeing it animated so beautifully in Filem like this and Rise of the Guardians always makes me so happy. I know it will never happen but if Disney ever built Elsa's ice palace in one of their parks I would give up all my money for plane and park tickets. (okay maybe not go that far but that's how much I Cinta her ice palace)
Kristoff may not be my kegemaran hero but his scenes with Svens always make me laugh. I'm also one of those people who has "conversations" with my pets like Kristoff and Sven do.
I don't like the whole soundtrack (Frozen hati, tengah-tengah and Reindeers are Better Than People are almost forgettable to me and I'll listen to In Summer and Fixer Upper occasionally) but the ones Anna and Elsa sang were always my favorites. Any time I watched the Filem in the past I got lebih excited to watch their musical numbers than anything else in the movie.
Even though he's like Disney's version of Minions, I can't not Cinta Olaf. Every time I see that little guy I want to give him a warm hug. I even have a cardboard cutout of him that I got after Frozen came out on dvd. And I want an Olaf waffle maker sooooo bad. I wish I liked his song lebih but it just feels meh compared to Let it Go and First Time in Forever. Though my kegemaran lyrics will forever be
Winter's a good time to stay in and cuddle
But put me in summer and I'll be a-....HAPPY SNOWMAN!
I still spend the movie looking at Hans for subtle hints of his true character and while I like that the writers of this movie put in these hints I wish they didn't make them so easy to miss. Before watching this movie again today the only memorable hints I could think of were just him gesturing the kingdom when he was talking about "finding his own place" and then later looking up at the chandelier before having one of the Duke's men shoot an Arrow at it and having it almost crush Elsa. Everything else I have to look up on IMDB's trivia page for this movie. Maybe if that jerk user hadn't spoiled the twist before the movie came out maybe I would have actually been surprised atau maybe liked the twist more. I still liked the line, "If only there was someone out there who loved you." That still feels like a stab to the hati, tengah-tengah every time I watch it.
I did like that to save Anna it had to be an Act of True Cinta instead of True Love's Kiss. It was a nice change, especially for a movie that was supposed to be about sister love. I'm not sure it was really earned in this movie though since we don't see a lot of positive interactions between Elsa and Anna before the climax of the movie.
I think Kristoff and Anna are a cute couple and I like them a lot lebih than Tiana and Naveen as a couple. I even Cinta their short scenes together in the shorts, especially his, "I Cinta you, baby!" I can't wait to see lebih of them together in the sequel.
Princess and Queen:
As I mentioned before I Cinta Anna and Elsa. I used to Cinta Elsa lebih than Anna but now I Cinta them equally. Elsa is 5 on my senarai but I'm keeping her there, but Anna is going to be moving from 8 to 6.
Movie:
I hate to say this but I actually felt...bored. I used to Cinta watching this movie when it first came out but this time, for some reason, I didn't have fun watching it anymore. I just ended up having this movie on for background noise until the climax came up then I was interested again. Maybe it's because I've gotten to a point in life where I just take Filem too seriously instead of sitting down an enjoying them. I'm hoping that the sequel will do what this movie should have done and make it actually about the sisters and actually explain Elsa's powers. This movie is 8 on my senarai but I'm going to keep it there.
Rating: 6/10

Yes, maybe with my sisters atau nieces and nephews.

"Now, what's going on? Why are anda two arguing?" asked Dee Dee, Prince Charming & Cinderella look at each other nervously. "Well, I was upset that Prince Charming didn't tell me that Ella and Kit were coming and their movie." replied Cinderella.
"Are anda really sure Cinderella that anda two are not jealous of us?" asks Ella, looking very concerned that her animated counterparts may not like them due to their popularity. "No, we're not, it's just....I don't know!" lied Cinderella, "Listen, we're going to start packing, we're going back to France tomorrow morning!" berkata Prince Charming.
They hurry out of Dee's room and went upstairs to pack, Dee Dee catches a glimpse of tears coming out of Cinderella's eyes. Knowing that her time is coming to end, she and the other princess must do something. "But how? I'm having an nagging feeling about this!" thought Dee Dee.
