especially Herc, one of the best Disney movies imo (and i love Greek Mythology)

^ I agree. Disney movies are fictional animated creations that are not supposed to be an accurate representation of history or ancient legends nor reflect original fairy tales/stories entirely or be indentical to them. Hercules and Pocahontas are beautiful movies with great storyline, captivating music and stunning animation, they also send some important and significant messages in a famous Disney way that is not moralistic or patronizing but clear and obvious to those who pay attention to the moral of the story.

I haven't heard of any hate against Hercules actually, I've heard more against Hunchback. But really, no movie will ever be exactly the same as the original story. And Disney obviously has to turn these into family-friendly stories, they may as well make it obvious that it's not completely accurate, rather than getting it close and having people take their version as the gospel truth.

First of all, the original stories of many fairytales and myths involve rape, sexual stuff,and one even includes suicide. You can't blame Disney for changing the fairytales. But if you don't [and you're blaming Disney for not making them accurate] then you're supposed to remember- these are ANIMATED CHARACTERS. Disney can do anything they want. They can call the story they want inspired on the original Pocahontas or the real story of Pocahontas. (it's actually inspired...) They can change things, but they do this to make the children happier. They don't want to learn about a boring story that might not even be true. (Because a lot of people say that the story was told by John Smith AFTER Poca's death. I'm too lazy to do research so shut that piehole.) They want a fairytale to boost they're imagination and eventually make the children brighter. There's a huge difference between school and Disney Movies.

P.S - I know the difference if stories, myths, and fairytales.

He becomes a boring stick of a character after histransformation...the Poca & Herc one too.

Agree with what everyone's already said. I think if you're going to hate on Disney for changing Hercules and Pocahontas, you shouldn't like Disney at all since all of the stories are changed really. Look at Cinderella, for just one example.
