In fact, it barely gets recognision even from the handcore Disney fans, which is upsetting because it's an incredibly motivational, positive, "feel better" kind of song that is filled with the idea of hope and the necessarity to hold on to it in the darkest of times. Personally, if there's an overrated song in Disney it's A Whole New World, in my opinion. Gorgeous song, but terribly overrated. I never thought any of these got too much hype or attention. I See The Light is often criticized for supposedly not measuring up to other Disney hits and didn't even get an award, Kiss The Girl is an amazingly delivered musical number, which, however, isn't as popular as Part of Your World, Beauty and the Beast isn't nearly as overhyped as, for instance, songs from Lion King and other Disney movies. posted hampir setahun yang lalu.

I do think I See the Light is over hyped as well, it's not especially original, and I don't find it the greatest song anyway either, but I'm not a fan of that genre in general.
