From the months ago polls I made, these 2 were the ones with the most votes for being overrated in the looks department.
Funny how these two are considered overrated in everything.

Ariel is the most overrated considering she has more fans than Belle!

I'd say they are both the same really depending on whether of not your an Ariel or a Belle fan. In someways I'd say Belle in underrated because she is a plain everyday girl and Ariel because some people think she looks like a cartoonish freak :(

Both are my top 2 beauties, but I think Ariel is slightly more overrated. Belle is more overrated in other areas, such as character.

BY FAR. Belle has this natural beautiness to her that makes her really pretty and her prettiness reputation well deserved. Ariel really is just cutely pretty and is way too cartoony for my tastes.

By far! Ariel is gorgeous and deserves the hype she gets. Belle is beautiful but she's quite common and for most of the film doesn't look that good.

Belle's pretty shots are far prettier than Ariel's pretty shots IMO.

It's ironic how Ariel gets more votes in this particular pick despite the fact that her beauty has never been regarded as the most prominent feature of her character (if anything she is far more frequently praised for her voice) whereas Belle's generically animated appearance (with mediocre hair and it's undefined style as well as incredibly non-specific body structure with movements that don't look or come off as realistic or captivating contrary to Ariel's mesmerizing head/hair movements) is considered the epitome of beauty.

I like simple beauty.

This one was really difficult. I'm one of those who doesn't find Belle very pretty, I agree with a lot of what KataraLover and maryksand said, but even though Ariel is MUCH higher on my beauty list, I think hers is more overrated. I don't know.

i can find some pretty Belle moments, but not a single one for Ariel...just cute at best

To be honest, I really can't choose! They are both in my top 2 most beautiful disney princess list but I think they both deserve the hype they get. The only thing I don't like about Bella's looks is that she has very unnatural looking hair and typical brown hair and brown eyes.

The only thing I don't like about ariel is that she is a bit too skinny and has the worst lips ever. She does have some really bad shots. but overall, If any of the two were to be overrated in looks then I think it would be a tie. Both are gorgeous!

Ariel doesn't really compare with a lot of the princesses when it comes to beauty, imo.

they're both very average looking, but she has nice thin lips. however, I cant believe people love her hair color so much, but Belle has better eyes. but they look almost exactly alike, so you can't really compare them.
