I can relate to her situation a little. Sort of waiting for her life to get better and waiting for happiness. But that's really it.

I definitely have a similar attitude, now that I think about it. while obviously my life isnt half as bad as hers, I tend to repress my anger at work and with certain family members because I'm aware of how idiotic lashing out at them would be. sometimes this repression leads us to take it out on others a bit. we have the same sense of humor (we even have low, breathy voices). If I were here I'd also try to keep what's left of my family together (her pets) and try to encourage them to not get themselves thrown out.
