They really stay too close to their stereo-type without having anything be changed that they stereo-type didn't have.Like for example Pocahontas is a nature loving girl. But unlike most, She isn't as played as the cowardly and shy type. She is very brave and playful. So even through she can still fit into that stereo-type. She does go against it sometimes too. That's what I'm talking about when I said quote on quote "They really stay too close to their stereo-type without having anything be changed that they stereo-type didn't have.". Which is one of the ways to make a character complex. Since to me anything that isn't complex is strait out bland aka my version of a complex character is the opposite of a bland character.(It's an opinion, don't judge me). I think I can say that they are really bland characters. But, that doesn't mean these characters can't be enjoyable. It just means these two just need to grow some unique traits. Cause they seem to have everything else. Development, a personality, serious moments,reliability, and a serious tone to their character. The only thing that seems to be left is a unique trait that separates them from their stereo-type. Even through in my opinion they are very close to becoming a complex character they are still bland. On the other hand they are still enjoyable and fun to watch! So they are still great characters just needs a little push until being a complex character. But, we still enjoy them right?

I do think Jasmine is complex. she's a layered character and there's things we don't know about her. except she is cunning yet naive, quick-tempered yet gentle, generous but self-centered.
