Older, plus size/not thin, and/or with a disability.

An LGBT princess would be nice but realistically I can't see it for another couple decades.

I know there's Elena, but I'd like another Latina princess (actually in the lineup) and/or a Jewish princess.

^I went ahead and put a special option on here too :) I was almost going to put POC princess but I was just trying to name off some things we haven’t seen in the lineup so far but that’s a good point that even though there’s some POC princesses here already it would be nice to see some from other countries and other cultures :)

@disnerdtobe I remember after watching Frozen right before I turned 21 I was surprised to find out she was turning 21 in her movie too :p

Or LGBT or scars. But I'd want this the most. Wouldn't mind a plus-sized princess tho.

That reminds me;

When I say a princess who’s not thin, I’m not just saying plus sized, I’m saying women who have muscle too

If you want a plus sized princess that’s still cool :) just want to make it clear on what I meant

A disability or not in teens. Although I wouldn't mind most of these.

Probably. But I didn't like Elsa at all, so I am now not very interested in a princess who is 21 or older.

What about Kida from Atlantis? She’s an older princess. The only reason I used Elsa instead of Kida was because Kids was 1000s of years old so that wasn’t very realistic

More than 1 of these.

I want a princess not in her teens that has a disability, isn't thin, isn't human (maybe a fairy princess?), and maybe one with scars. :)

MaidofOrleans picked lebih than one of these:
All of the above except a live action princess. I'd be ok with a non-human princess so long as they are still humanoid in some way. I wouldn't want a full-on animal princess or anything.

In particular I would love to see an LGBTQ+ princess, but sadly I think it will be a while before Disney gets around to it cuz they're too scared of offending conservatives.

A couple I'd like to see that aren't on this list: more POC princesses from different cultures, but only if Disney is at least as respectful as they were with Moana; a princess who has a romance in the film but doesn't end up with them in the end, but not because they're evil (coughHanscough) or because circumstance keeps them apart (coughJohnSmithcough), but instead because they realize they aren't right for each other or something along those lines and they part amicably, bonus points if it ends with a budding romance with a new person; also I think a princess in a sci-fi setting could be cool (part of the reason why I'm so sad Kida's not official, since Atlantis gives me kinda sci-fi vibes).

I guess, I didn't like the way Elsa was presented, and I don't feel like Disney presents older women in a favorable light these days, except for the grandmother set ( Grandma Tala, the Witch in Brave, Mama Odie, etc).

So, that being said, I don't mind Kida, as I like both her and Esmeralda a zillion times more than I do Elsa.

It's just that Disney doesn't "handle age" in a nice way, if the person is a protagonist. In my opinion, they used to do this really well, back in the Renaissance Era. But not so, now.

And some of MaidofOrleans points, seem good. Kinda agree with the doesn't-have-to-be-evil to have a breakup, and the circumstances-keep-them-apart thing sucks, and we've seen it, already. I just think a budding romance with someone ( the way it was handled in Mulan) would be sufficient. Romance doesn't have to be the focus of the film, but it does have to be in the mix, for me to enjoy the film itself.

also "A princess not in her teens" an LGBTQ+ princess would be nice too but as MaidofOrleans said, Disney isn't brave enough.

@wavesurf I can see that. We do have some older women who are seen in a nice light besides grandmothers but they often don’t get too much screen time so it’s a little hard to count them. I thought older Ariel in Return to the Sea was done well, she was a little more mature but was still herself. And as much as I really didn’t like Ralph Breaks the Internet I really liked Shank, especially when she gave Vanellope advice. I remember seeing her in the commercials and thinking that somehow she was going to end up being the villain because while she did have a point, I was worried she was trying to ruin Ralph and Vanellope’s friendship. Thankfully that wasn’t the case
