ARIEL SHOULD NOT HAVE A CHILD, I HATED the second movie because of that, i mean a princess shouldn't have a child, and when u r a girl watching a princess movie all u wanna see is parties, princes, beautiful dresses, and love, NOT CHILDREN.

I loved the first movie and the original story of hans christian anderson but i think dinsey went too far with the second movie.


but anyway it's just my opinion and i respect the other opinions.

But I agree that the second movie was just awful. I really dislike seeing princesses with children. Plus the same effort isn't put into the animation and music for straight to video sequels, so they are usually of much poorer quality :/

No. The way they projected Ariel's personality in the second movie is totally not how Ariel would be as a mother. It's like everything Ariel was got sucked out of her. She was more like how Cinderella would be as a mother. or Belle. But Ariel was such a fun, bubbly person and in the second movie she was so stuffy. So judging by the first movie, I dont think Ariel would make a good mother. I prefer it that way.

This chick is way too spazzy to be a mother. I was like "dear god, of all the princesses THIS is the one they make a sequel with having a child?" & how old was she when she had this kid? As Ursula says "the little tramp!" lol.

I agree with Princess Lullaby, she turned boring. She is more like Cinderella.

She hid things about the sea from Melody and had a wall built to seperate Her from it. Also, She acted like Her Father in the second movie! It was scary to see Her act like that, mostly because of Ariel's personality in the first movie, and Her changed personality in the second movie. :/

i agree completely with everyone that picked 'no'. by the way defyingglory, i think it's safe to say ariel was probably 17 or 18 when melody was born, maybe even 16 since people back then would have kids at very young ages.

She was only lying to protect her daughter. And she did intend to tell her eventually -- Melody was only, like, 13 at the time. Hardly old enough to handle being told "Yeah, your Mom is actually a princess of this under-water country of make-beleive creatures. And some of her relatives still live under-water and would totally love to kill your mom and dad and you for all the trouble your parents caused back in the day."

Yea Ariel was protecting Melody from that chick okay she loved Melody with all her heat okay so people picked no shut up and re pick!!!

She was only protecting Melody, even if it meant hiding half of who she is.

She is a good mom but i didnt like the fact that she had a child...why couldnt they just left the story how it was!!!
