although the more obvious choice would be mulan, belle actually to me goes through more changes. She goes from a girl with dreams but no ambition to go after them who is very judgemental of the beast, to falling in love with the beast and doing anything she can to help him.

Tiana started off as a career driven, determind woman. She never relaxed and let fun into her life. Throughout the movie she was driven on getting her resteraunt. Yet after fallin in love with Naveen she let the fun in and got her resteraunt. In my opinion her and Naveen made large changes.

Depend if you mean just the movie of the movie and the sequals becuse she goes from damsel(in the first and second) to independent women in the third

Mulan went from being a sheltered, insecure girl to a strong, well praised hero, giving her much more confidence.

I find the rest of the princesses personalities seem to be pretty consistant, however their emotions change and... their outfits

but i still think mulan changed quite a lot, definately the most of the princesses.

It's got to be! She goes from being a weak pushover to a tough kickass fighter!

I think Pocahontas grew up quite a bit - she was already rather mature, but she became less self-serving.

I almost totally agree with princesslullaby's comment - Belle does change a lot! :) But I wouldn't say that she lacks ambition, more like she lacks opportunity to pursue her dreams - which is why she puts all her efforts into reading to distract herself from how unhappy she is in her town.
