This is personally my favorite scene in BATB. I love the score, I love the music, I love how Belle looks, I love the West Wing itself.

I find this particular scene very suspenseful to my taste. It was more of a less talk, more show scene and it's displayed very well. It's one of my favorite "dark" scenes in the movie.

It's a very interesting scene. The eerie, dark music, and how Belle slowly creeps to the door are highlights of the scene in my opinion. I also love how Belle carefully observes the painting, the broken mirror, and most of all, the rose. I also love the pink glow of the rose as well!

It's sort of an introduction to the Beast's past and it explores the darker side of him. I honestly love this scene a lot because the score was amazing and love how the tone and mood was set almost instantly at the beginning of it.

I don't really like this scene much in terms of the movie.

Belle's starts out pondering about the portrait of the human Beast, then, "glowy...let me have a look." I rather want her to concentrate more on the portrait. But who could ever resist not leading your curiosity to a glowing rose? But she goes way too far when she lifts the glass case and almost touching the rose. If I were Belle, I would probably lean on the table and look at the rose (glass case protecting it) and say "wow" and just stare at it. Oh, childish me :).

I think this one is one of my least favorite scenes in BatB. The rose is the only good thing about the scene.

It's cool and all. I just always dread the part when the Beast shows up.

This is one of my favorite scenes. I love it. It is so dark, and suspenseful and emotional, which is why I love this movie in general. When you see the West Wing itself, you can see inside of it how broken the Beast really is by the disarray of the room. (and if you look closely, the carcasses of animals in the room. He is so unattached to his human self at this point.)

He hates how he looks, which is why the portrait is torn up. He feels doomed, and he wants to shut himself out from the world except from his rose. Belle then comes in, and he does get mad, for good reason: if she touches the rose and plucks off the petals, he is stuck as a beast forever. After he throws his temper, you can see another side of him...his regret and his remorse, after he puts his paw over his face, and he is like, "What have I done...?"

The score, OH the score! <3 Easily my favorite Disney Princess piece of music EVER. Alan Menken did such a wonderful job here. How it starts slow and mournful, then creeps up and becomes rapid pace...I love it so much.

In other words, this scene is awesome. You can see how the Beast changes in character, and it is amazing.

I love this scene. My second favorite scene in the entire film. I especially love when she finds the rose.

I love this scene. The score is absolutely brilliant. I also love the animation in this scene, I love the darkness and suspense. To me, you can learn a lot about the Beast from this scene, with the picture being torn and how it's all messed up, becuase you assume he did that out of anger. When the Beast comes in, it's like the "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy" scene in The Shining, except the anger equivalent of it, because this is when the Beast's temper gets to it's maximum, like in The Shining when you see that Jack has gone absoluetly insane.

Eh, this scene's ok, but not the most eventful thing to watch. It's like it has the components but I just don't feel gripped by it. I like it when the Beast jumps in and cries "GTFO!" at the top of his lungs, but the run-up to that is meh.

This is my favorite scene in the movie because of the fantastic music.

Plus, I think it has some of best shots of Belle. ♡
