Of course she would be. She was jealous of the girl in the original story too. I don't think she'd be bitter or anything because they're happy and she'd be somewhat happy for them, but she'd still feel jealous inside.

Well, of course she will be jealus, not mad at them or anything, but jealus in a way that she would feel sad about her not getting this happy ending. But she would never regret her love for Prince.

I love the book, we learned about it in school today. It's really touching, I love how the mermaid SPOILER ALERT doesn't take her one chance to live because she loves the prince and is happy for him, despite her fate.

Why where they teaching you about a mermaid dying and I have to say this is the one story I know where the heroine gets dumped
