She is ..hmmm... too ...hmmmmm. old !?!?

i don't know who Julianne Moore is but i would watch any movie about Ariel!

Haven't seen her in much, from what I've seen I get the impression she's a good actress, but I've never seen anything of her I'd connect with Ariel's character. Plus it would have to be set way after the original since she's so much older than Ariel, and no matter what actress I don't think I'd be too interested in a story of Ariel's later life.

To be honest, I don't really get the common thing of thinking of every red haired actress for Ariel. Hair colour is the easiest thing in the world to fake for a movie, but for some reason everyone I ever hear suggested for Ariel is a red head, no matter how otherwise far removed from the character. I'd rather they cast someone who seemed well matched for the role, then gave them red hair than cast someone on the basis of shared hair colour then have to tailor the plot to the actor. Not a criticism of this pick, just something in general I don't quite get. I'm not familiar enough with Julianne to properly judge how good she'd be as an older Ariel, just never a vibe I got from her, and not a movie I'd be psyched about.

Where have I seen her? *looks her up* Oh, I saw her in the 3rd Jurassic Park movie. Well, yeah, what Mermaid-Tail said.

She is a wonderful actress and I would watch it, but like ppv said, she's a little old to play Ariel...unless the story is set when she is older...
