She didn't have much role on the movie.
Arianna too, but at least she put some efforts towards Rapunzel, if we include Before Ever After and Tangled series.

I must admit, I wouldn't like to have her for a mother. She is so strict and non-lenient that it's frustrating.

Since I have to choose between Elinor and Ariel, I will go with Elinor. I´m not against the idea that she tried to get Merida to have better manners but my problem is with the way she did. She could have handle it better.

she has no personality. Plus I dont know how much effort did she put in finding her daughter. I mean, no amount of effort is enough to find your child. The king and queen seem to have resigned by celebrating her memory by lighting lantern. Pretty lame parents, imo.
