I simply think she's the least smartest. I don't like her way of thinking.

I think she's one of the least smart. She's kinda book-smart but all she does is read fairy-tales. She's not streetsmart at all! She's overrated in intelligence and doesn't deserve to be here. Rapunzel, Ariel, and Cinderella are much smarter than her! Her going into the west wing was just as stupid as Ariel going to Ursula. Plus running away into the woods full of man-eating wolves again is just as stupid as Ariel going to explore a sunken ship where a shark could be. Plus did she forget that if she leaves her dad has to come back? Plus didn't she think of just getting Gaston and the villagers to help her save her father.

i agree with Kataralover but why did you guys get rid of Pocahontas? she is wise and smart and lives life to the fullest. just because she jumps off a clif, befriends another that was "forbidin" doesn't mean that she isn't smart. she knows better than to fight and she makes peace.

cinderella is one of the smartest. but out of these, i think jasmine just doesnt have it.

It's unbelievable that Rapunzel had to go - especially based on so feeble arguments. Writing that she is dizzy and naive doesn't make it true, especially since nobody gave any examples for it.

Oh, well, still the same reasoning - her or Tiana. Both are good at thinking on their feet, but that'S it. Belle on the other hand is good in using words to get what she wants.

Belle good at using words to get what she wants? The only time she does that is to trick Cogsworth into giving her a tore. Anyway your right about Rapunzel, I think she's one of the smartest disney princesses.

@KataraLover She also wins the "word duell" against the Beast, and she is very witty in her conversations with Gaston (even if he is too stupid to understand half of the words she uses). I wouldn't call her the smartest, but she is smarter than Jasmine and Tiana Imho.

She's not stupid at all, but she doesn't do any particular smart thing in the movie... Mulan's the smartest by far, she got the arrow and she defeated the huns using her brain.

It's sort of the difference between being book smart and being street smart, and let's be honest, Belle's kind of sheltered.

Okay, let's pretend all of you consider my examples of Belle outwitting people as "not smart" - why exactly is Jasmine, Mrs. "I go out of the palace to loose my hand, don't know the laws of my own country and am to blind to see the adviser of my father hypnotise him right in front of me" smarter than her? She is a good actress, but I don't remember her doing one single smart thing in the movie, or seeing any proof that she is educated at all.
And Tiana? At least we know that she can read, though she is interested in nothing aside from her cook books. But she inicially falls for Naveen's lies, nearly falls for Facilier's false promises and doesn't get Mama Odies message although she more or less spells out for her what she really needs. Yeah, really smart there.
Rapunzel is smarter than Belle, but she already got voted out based on feeble excuses. Mulan is smarter. But I have the feeling that Belle gets now so many votes based on the typical "Just because she reads that doesn't mean she is smart" nonsense. Belle does much more than reading to prove that she is smart - and the fact that she reads is a point for her, even if reading alone doesn't necessarily make someone smart.

@Swanpride i'm sorry, but tiana doesn't fall for facilier's lies and she was smart enough to get a way to defeat him. and she just made the deal with naveen because she was desperate to get her restaurant and not because she's dumb. besides, she didn't believe in him anymore after that.

and yes, jasmine is smart. she discovers that aladdin is prince ali, she gets a way to trick jafar and she learns things very easily, as we can see when she climbs the wall

@pretty-angel92 She does believe that Naveen is the man with Lottie, although she knows that by the rules of the curse she should be human too the moment Naveen's spell is broken. And she nearly gives Facilier the amulett.

Climping a wall is not smart, the question is not which Princess is the best in sport (than I would vote her on place three, behind Pocahontas and Mulan). She needs ages to figure Aladdin out, and then she falls for the dumb "I pretended to be a beggar" line, although Aladdin told her how much he was dreaming to be rich and free when they first meet. Yes, she distracts Jafar, by using her womanly charm - I said that she is a good actor. And because she can think on her feet, I didn't vote her out earlier. But it's now really time for her to go.

So, what else was Tiana to believe, seriously? It was the most logical conclusion for her that the guy that looked like Naveen, WAS Naveen.
We never see Jafar hypnotize the Sultan in front of Jasmine except once; maybe he never did it in front of her before.
Belle's comebacks aren't that smart. They're just obvious statements.
"Gaston, you are positively primeval!" wow, how witty.
"But...but...I just don't deserve you." Oh, I am so struck down by her cleverness.
Tiana is at least resourceful and thinks on her feet, people have different definitions/opinions of what smart is. Belle has a brain.
Jasmine DID figure out who Aladdin is; and didn't Aladdin also say he PRETENDS to be a beggar? Wouldn't saying he dreams of riches / freedom be part of his act?

When Aladdin reveals what Jafar does, Jasmine is right beside him and doesn't notice anything. And she knows Jafar way longer than Aladdin. And the story that Aladdin is a FOREIGN prince who just happens to chose her town to pretent to be a begger (as opposed to doing it in a town in his own kingdom), never mind that he never explains to her how he avoided execution, nor does she question her why Jafar told her that Aladdin was already dead, when he obviously wasn't, is just to stupid to be believed by anyone with half a brain.

On the other hand, witty or not, the simple use of the word "primeval" shows a certain level of education. And yes, it was clever to go through the room and lean against the door, causing Gaston to lean over her. She would have never gotten him out of the house otherwise.

And yes, Tiana is resourceful, hence my decision to vote out Jasmine first. But she is also very dumb at times, and less educated than Belle or Rapunzel.

But educated is different from being naturally smart. Like I said, we all have different opinions of what 'smart' is.
But you do have some very good points about Jasmine, I hadn't picked out myself, probably b/c I've been watching the movie so long I just avoid the plotholes.
