Where I was stood it felt like flying. I could feel the soft breeze caressing my face and lifting tendrils of my long black hair. I smiled slightly as the wind reminded me of my mother. She was always with me, just like she berkata she would be.
I opened my eyes slowly to look at the beautiful world around me. Standing on a piece of jutting out rock seterusnya to the waterfall, I could hear the water rushing and cascading downwards. I could see all the trees laid out beneath me, lush and zamrud, emerald green, only separated sejak the wide, glistening blue river that carried on the waterfall I was seterusnya to.
I stayed in my little bubble of content until it was interrupted sejak my best friend shouting my name.
“Pocahontas! Your father’s back! Come down here!” She shouted up to me from the little bot bobbing around in the water below.
He was back! Happiness swelled up inside me and my smile turned into a grin. I sprinted into the forest behind me and was going to find the path that led down the cliff side, but then decided to turn around. I started to run faster, picking up the pace as the ledge of rock came back into my vision. Adrenaline coursed through my body as I considered what I was about to do.
As my bare toes felt the edge of the rock I pushed off into the air. I closed my eyes as I was falling, and all I could see was blackness. All I could sense was the wind tugging at my clothes and hair, trying to push me upwards, and Kairi shouting “No! Not that way!”
I peeked through my eyelashes and saw that I was close to the clear turquoise pool so I straightened out my body, ignoring the protests from the air, pointing my arms downwards. I closed my eyes tight shut and braced myself for the dive. I knew the water was warm from the moment my fingertips touched it. Once my whole body was immersed in the water, I could feel my hair plastered to my head and pushed back from my face, I could feel my dress getting heavier with the weight of liquid.
After I had gotten used to the feel of the lake, I could hear Kairi’s muffled voice muttering “Show off.” I opened my eyes slowly, discarding the stinging feeling that always came with being underwater. I saw the wooden brown shape of the bot and swam up to meet it. I waited underneath as I heard Kairi speaking again, “Rose? Are anda alright?” She sounded worried now. I was just about to swim up out of the water when I heard her continue, “Well anda better be alright because I’m not coming in after you.”
A mischievous grin took place on my face and I pushed the bot over so that she went tumbling into the water. Once she had righted herself, she popped her head up into the bubble of air trapped inside the upturned bot and berkata condescendingly, spluttering and coughing out water, “Don’t anda think were getting a little old for these games?”
