I'm a bit of a fence-sitter with this. It's just cutesy flirting, but because it's Disney then he probably will turn out to be her love interest. They just need to have another sequel to prove that. It's a bit like Mulan/Shang or Mowgli/Shanti, though less obvious. They were both similar situations at the end of their first movies, and needed another one to expand on it.
