The Doctor faces his fears in 'Hide'.
The Doctor faces his fears in 'Hide'.
Continuation of my Series 7 review in part 1.

Cold War
This episode, in some respects, was action-packed and full of tension and fear, but in other respects, it failed to fulfill what could have been a potentially well-rounded story. The Ice Warrior, Skaldak, was a fierce opponent, and the idea of him escaping from his shell suit to come and pick off the crew definitely raised the scare factor. It was again an unfortunate episode for Clara, who is under-used and not needed, and an unsatisfactory end, with the Ice Warrior leaving in peace just for the ease of wrapping up the story in 45 minutes.

Hide
What could easily have been mistaken as just a filler, this episode actually turned out to be a favourite amongst many fans. I agree, as everything seems to come together to create a satisfying story with a nice blend of fear and emotion. We can relate to Clara in this episode, as she claims to the Doctor: 'To you, I'm a ghost', and we can also feel the fear through the Doctor's scared eyes. I liked the sudden ending for a change, as I feel it just added that extra bit of surprise.

Journey to the Centre of the TARDIS
On multiple re-watches of this episode, I unfortunately got lebih and lebih disappointed. Over and over, the timey-wimey reset device is used, and is a cheap way of getting out of tough story 'tangles'. The mystery of The Impossible Girl is finally touched upon, but is taken away from Clara's mind almost straight away. Delving into the TARDIS was of course very exciting, and when it turns out that one of the zombies is Clara, it is truly shocking. The story as a whole was a good idea, but was poorly executed.

The Crimson Horror
Never had I been so surprised sejak an episode which I thought would be yet another let down. The characters of Ada and Mrs Gillyflower were excellent, and The Doctor's caring nature for Ada was lovely to watch. Jenny stood out from the Paternoster Gang, and the story had the right pace and direction, even if it was a bit lacking in originality.

Nightmare in Silver
Written sejak Neil Gaiman, everyone had high hopes, but these were mainly dashed it seems. It is a good strong story, with believable characters and some creepy cybermen, but the story lacks that little bit of quirkiness which we saw in 'The Doctor's Wife'. I really enjoyed The Doctor vs The Cyber Planner scenes, yet I believe this actually took away from what the whole story was supposed to be about.

The Name of the Doctor
Series 7 comes to a spectacular conclusion with a final episode which ties up many loose ends but also makes way for the future. The story is simply epic- a definite favourite of mine. The Doctor's emotions get the better of him here, and it brings a tear to my eye, as it does when Clara uses her legendary line: 'Run anda clever boy, and remember me', before jumping into the Doctor's timestream. The Great Intelligence and The Whispermen were some real monstrous contenders for The Doctor, and the scene where Jenny thinks she's been murdered is full of trauma and emotion. River makes a fitting return in what could be her last appearance, the solution to The Impossible Girl was well executed and that cliffhanger was simply unforgettable. In my eyes, this episode was faultless.

The hari of the Doctor
Watching this in cinema was a real treat. Everything was so much lebih epic, and the atmosphere was electric. I can easily say that I couldn't have asked for a better special. The return sejak David Tennant was very welcome indeed, with him and Matt offering some hilarious viewing. The War Doctor wasn't as dark I was expecting, and he fitted in nicely to our run of Doctors. Clara really changed my mind about her, as I realised that The Doctor would be nothing without her input. The Zygons gave us an exciting side-plot, but it was the Brave decision to save Gallifrey which really mencuri the show. This was a great idea, as it has really set in motion the seterusnya 50 years of this incredible show.

The Time of the Doctor
The Eleventh Doctor's angsa, swan song was certainly a strange one to say the least. It was an episode of confusing and often conflicting ideas, and I believe it was too much of an ask for Moffat to clear up a whole 3 series of loose plot strands in just an hour. Upon saat viewing though, the episodes intentions became clearer and the tieing up of the 3 series long story arc began to make sense. However, the story does suffer from plot holes, and being too fast-paced. The relationship between the Doctor and Clara was stronger than it ever has been, which is fitting seeing as it is her's and Eleven's last episode together. The scene where Clara pulls the cracker, keropok with the aged Doctor is something so simple which generates something so powerful, and is the first of the flood of tears which begins to fall. The regeneration is full of emotion, especially when he hallucinates Amy. The spontaneous change into Peter Capaldi was full of shock, and his first words hold a lot of promise for his incarnation.

keseluruhan Series ranking: 8.5
So that is my review of series 7. Overall, it has certainly been a rollercoaster ride of ups and downs. With the downs mainly stemming from quick-paced stories and unsatisfying endings, and the ups from a genuinely lebih epic and blockbuster style theme which runs throughout in the lead up to the 50th.
Let me know how anda feel about the two parts to my artikel if anda wish, as I would be happy to know your thoughts and opinions.
Thanks for reading!

The new Doctor and Rose are alone. No TARDIS, no adventures, just the cold reality of being earthbound with an uncertain future.

The Doctor crops up in the most oddest of places.

Looks like the TARDIS gets some mail.

A 1982 Prince song almost hits The Doctor.

River Song and The Doctor’s relationship is tied up in a bow.

Someone does an impersonation of The Terminator.

Rory is not gay whilst Hitler is definitely in the closet.

Is that a pisang in your pocket?

The Vampires of Venice is mentioned at a crucial moment sejak The Doctor.

Other people know about The Doctor’s death~day.

Hitler isn’t the only person someone wants to kill.

A film referenced in The Impossible Astronaut is referenced again. Twice.

The words “the Silence” are visibly apparent.
Amy, the Doctor & Rory get a surprise as the TARDIS crashes into Hitlers office...
