We have a mission for you: SciFi has repeatedly stated that a decision has yet to be made concerning the Dresden Files' renewal for Season 2, and has instructed us (fans & viewers) that information, when it becomes available, will be carried on SciFi Wire. Yet there has been no information.

The fans, including myself, have written letter upon letter to SciFi requesting the renewal of the best series that has been released in 2007 on any channel! We've sent e-mail upon e-mail. We've filled their feedback telephone mailbox with messages. We've signed petitions. Yet even though the last episode aired in April, there has been NO response from Sci Fi to any request for information or renewal from any of the fans, other than the 'no decision' statement.

SciFi's has made many statements about wanting to attract more women to their mostly young male audience. It has been stated numerous time in ratings information that the Dresden Files is the answer to this problem - it draws a large female audience across all age groups. People and media are starting to question SciFi's honesty in wanting to attract women to the genre - the Dresden Files HAS them, yet SciFi hasn't renewed. Is SciFi, despite statements, actually AGAINST drawing women into the genre in general, and SciFi in particular?? Do they really just prefer female viewers stay on Food Network or the Hallmark Channel so that the channel can continue to fill their lineup with brainless shows & wrestling?! It does appear that SciFi is NOT backing it's statements with actions in regards to female viewers!

This question and many, many others are being asked about the Dresden Files series & the Sci Fi Channel, including why should viewers support the SciFi Channel when the SciFi Channel doesn't support their viewers?!

SciFi Weekly has posted a few of the many letters sent in stating how excellent the series is & why fans love it. Making the Dresden Files into a series was a stroke of genius. The casting for the show, yet more genius. Chances of success in syndication, excellent. Yet the series is STILL languishing in limbo!

Come ON SciFi back up your statements with actions! Let the fans, who have collectively been holding their breath and experiencing pain & suffering for 2 months, breathe again!!!
