Roran isnt related to Morzan by blood so i dont think its him.

Arya's magic is green, like the green dragon on the cover of the 3rd book & Arya & Eragon should be together & her being the next rider would bring them closer together since Saphira & teh green dragon will probably be together.

The Movie sucked. Because of it, i lost the image of murtagh in my head and now i picture him as the actor who poorly portayed him.

I don't think Roran!He's got Katrina he can't live forever and let her grow old with age it would't be right especially with the fact she's pregnant it's impossible.And my answer was for the third book.

I agreed with you on the movie over the book thing, but the Murtagh in the movie was actually very similar to the one i imagined, which was good.

it wont be roran bcos im guessin that the egg will hatch in the beginning of the last book & there isnt time to train some1 completely new, Arya's pretty much already there. Also if it were roran he would be immortal but not katrina and there baby, which wud just be so sad. also Paolini said that the next rider would be "logically inevitable" or something to that effect. PLus wit all the other reasons stated b4 i think that its gonna be Arya.

i'm guna go out on a limb here and say it's guna b katrina... she's kind of in the family now, right? plus she's the only female character i enjoy reading about in the books, so it would be nice if she got a larger role in the fourth book...euther her or roran.
arya would almost b too obvious, but then again cp isnt exactly known for having original ideas...
and i have a feeling tht elva is going to b evil in the next book for some reason, and it would totally b unfair if the empire had 3 riders and the varden only had 1...the ending would b over in like 3 pages and the empire would win.
