Creators of Fanpop,

This really is a fantastic site, it is like a
cooler, safer Facebook in my opinion. But, there
has been a decline in users, and not any increase. One thing is the new default style is less user friendly and a lot of people don't like it. So, anda could make the old Fanpop style the default style, atau make the option to change to it lebih obvious. There is also the issue of a lack of advertisement; I had literally never known atau even seen anything about this site until late March this year. I have never seen an ad for this website in my life. If it is to expensive atau the ads just aren't being shown in a lot of places anda could at least encourage people to share it with others.

Bulk posting kills kata kunci

Okay this soapbox sadly, is going to point fingers so people can learn from this. I don't like having to point fingers but it seems no one gets the message across if it isn't done.

What is bulk posting? It's when anda post multiple things all at the same time. So when anda do that the kata kunci anda give are going to be the same for every single thing anda post.

Why do people bulk post? Well the excuse used can be "I want to share great content with others" but really it turns lebih into a quantity over quality.

Why is this harming keywords? When people bulk post they only put a general amount of keywords...

Hello Fanpoppers. sejak now anda may have noticed a nifty new feature was rolled out this afternoon. It's the Fanpop Pop Quiz, a way to test your knowledge of all sorts of arcane trivia from movies, to Muzik to hamsters.

Before diving into the details of the game, I want to send out a hearty THANKS to the Fanpop team. In particular, a big prop to link who put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this feature.

Good Grammar is Sexy

Yes, yes it is.

As some of anda may know, I often suffer from grammar-induced rage blackouts. These can be triggered sejak anything from a misplaced apostrophe to the incorrect usage of "your" and "you're". So, I decided to do something about it.. mostly because I'm afraid the seterusnya dangling modifier I come across might send me spiraling into a violent rampage the likes of which have never been seen.

I understand that a lot of Fanpoppers are not native English speakers, and thus might not have as good a hold on our sometimes ridiculously complicated grammatical rules. Obviously, I can't fault them for their mistakes....

How to Check if an Image Has Already Been Uploaded to Fanpop

Duplicate imej tend to really bother me in certain spots, and I’ve observed that I’m far from the only one. I know it’s difficult sometimes to know if an image has been uploaded into a spot atau not when there are 999,483,937 uploads, especially when they’re lacking in the kata kunci department.

Google has this nice new feature called a Reverse Image Search. With a reverse image search, anda are able to muat naik atau link an image into the cari bar and you’ll be telah diberi a senarai of web pages containing your selected image.

Right, I have been thinking about this. I have been thinking about certain things on Fanpop recently and as much as I Cinta this place there are certain things that irk me.

Hate Spots
I've seen spots that are about hating a certain thing. I thought this place was lebih about sharing things we enjoy so we can give each other images, links, videos, etc not "oh I hate this and this and this". It doesn't make anything friendly.

The true meaning of a peminat

Okay everybody on Fanpop is a peminat of something, anda have to be, But what is a true fan? Well, I'll tell you.
According to Webster's Dictionary, a peminat is
A:
Function: noun
Etymology: probably short for fanatic
1 : an enthusiastic devotee (as of a sport atau a performing art) usually as a spectator
2 : an ardent admirer atau enthusiast (as of a celebrity atau a pursuit) <science-fiction fans>

This is a great definition of a peminat of a baseball team atau a specific person, such as the Yankees atau Brad Pitt. But is that really what the peminat-peminat on Fanpop are? No....

What happened to the Meebo bar

Today on June 6th, The Meebo bar was not working. Many peminat-peminat could not log on and all of them thought that it was a glitch atau a fail. But then, according to snakemanfan, Google shut down Meebo permanently to work on Google+. It is totally damn stupid. I know that many people use the meebo bar in order for chatting on Fanpop and other stuff, But this is just sad. Google want to dominate the whole internet. Just because Google+ is being updated just does not mean that anda have to shut down the Meebo bar permanently. So today, We have to say our Final Words to the Meebo bar as it shuts down forever.

This will be a really sad thing for users who have used the Meebo Bar. I really do not know if they will replace it atau bring it back, But for now, Meebo is gone, Forever. :( :( :(

Kidding as usual. Actually, it's Sunday and I have some spare time on my hands so I thought I would write up some points I think need changing with the new layoot and I invite anda to CONSTRUCTIVELY make your points in the comments. My idea behind this is to have a collection of concerns that we can tunjuk the F4. This way instead of ranting and going "OMG I HATE DIS!" we can make ourselves heard. I know the F4 are awesome and have listened to us in the past. Remember the dinding debacle? Remember how they changed the layoot after we pointed it oot? Remember how they brought back the forums?

hei there! I'm emerald_32, but anda can call me zamrud, emerald atau Em. Today I'll be menunjukkan anda a quick tutorial I made on how to muat naik images.
So I've heard that a lot of users are having problems with the new image uploader. I have to say, it isn't really that complicated. For a 1-2 days it was for me, but I figured it out now. Since some don't, I'll be Penulisan this artikel for that situation.

Please note that the browser that I use is Google Chrome, because it has some built-in plug-ins that are handy when surfing the net and uploading images.

I guess you're already kind of resolved about this, but I thought I'd tell anda my standing on it anyway.

If I receive messages and dinding posts asking for me to sertai spots atau 'fan' content from Fanpoppers who I have had no prior contact with, and I'm busy, I simply ignore their pleas, with the selamat, peti deposit keselamatan assumption that they've sent them to dozens of people, and even if I didn't want to upset them sejak being non-responsive, they wouldn't notice.
However, when I have nothing on my hands (Fanpop-wise), I tend to check out their content and see if it's any good, and if I think it contributes to the club well,...
