The Haiwan of the zoo gathered near the gate, chattering, and conversion. Marlene stood near the stage with CC.
"You nervous?" Marlene asked.
"Mm, slightly."
"What if it's a fail? Like game night almost was?"
"Game night ended up perfect, and this will too," CC assured her. She gazed at all the animals, then realised something.
"Where's Rune?" CC asked. "Has she not come yet?" She went into the crowd, and found Mort.
"You happen to know where Rune is?" she asked the tetikus lemur.
"Rune? Oh, she's gone to um... China!"
"Mort."
"Yes?"
"Tell me the truth."
"Ok! She's hiding in the volcano. But don't tell her I told you."
"Ok," CC laughed. "Thanks Mort."
CC peered over the edge of the gunung berapi in the lemur habitat. She saw Rune sitting at the bottom.
"Rune?" she called, her voice echoing. Rune looked up.
"I was just in here to practise!" Rune called back.
"Won't anda need this?" CC asked, menunjukkan her a little guitar.
"Uh, is it time yet?"
"Not yet, but I figured you'd want to come see the other art exhibits."
"Ok," Rune berkata uncertainly.
"Don't worry, you're not Singing until after I read out my story, and that's the saat last thing."
CC saw Rune breath a sigh of relief, and relax slightly. She climbed up a hidden ladder, and CC lead her to the show.
Mason had just finished menunjukkan his wood-carving skills, as CC and Rune came up to the group. Marlene hopped onto the stage.
"Ok, everyone," she called. "It's time for a dance demonstration from-"
"ME! Your kingly king of kingliness!" Julian interrupted, jumping onto the stage, with Mort, Maurice, and the boomy box. They three of them began to dance.
"No! Julian!" Marlene shouted. "It's not your turn yet. It's-"
"Mine and my girls!" Darla boomed, as she jumped onto the stage with a fiddle. She began to play, as she and her girls danced.
"No! It's not your turn either!" Marlene protested, but her yells fell on deaf ears, as the two rivals kept dancing, trying to outdo the other.
"WILL anda JUST STOP?" Marlene shouted at the bahagian, atas of her lungs. She looked like she was about to go feral, and probably would have, if she hadn't blacked-out for a split-second, and felt pain shooting through her left shoulder, as the stage fell in and collapsed...
