Normally I would not post a negative link like this to Fanpop, but at this point, it is a) my duty as a former FTWD fan, and b) there are zero lies in Erik's list of reasons. Plus, there are only 2 of us participating in the club each week, and we both are not having a fun time with season 5. There was one other person voting in the weekly episode polls for 5A, and voting that they liked the episodes, but that mystery person has since disappeared, perhaps due to my persistent negative reviews; perhaps because they no longer watch the show... I read through the FTWD Reddit episode threads after every episode, and through 5B even 5A defenders (few as they were) have started to hate every new episode. The most positive comments I've read for the last few episodes have been along the lines of: "I've defended the how in the past, but I can't do it any longer".

While I'm leaving long, rambling comments, I read the Dustin Rowles review that Erik links to, and found it very interesting when he mentioned that there have been 4 script supervisors across the 5 seasons of FTWD... 2 for season 5 alone... I checked IMDB, and assuming that IMDB is correct (we know it isn't always...), this information is correct. There were 2 script supervisors (technically 3 as there is one dude is listed as 'uncredited' for work in 2015) across seasons 1-4... the script supervisor is in charge of continuity... and the continuity for season 5 has been appalling... and they all of a sudden in season 5 don't even have continuity in their staff lol... INTERESTING.

Yikes, FTWD. Yiiiikes.

About Al's tiny tapes, since the writer is mystified by them: My cousin had a video camera that used those in the late 90s/early 2000s, and to watch them, you needed a VHS-C adapter - which is a VHS-sized cartridge with a hole in it that accomodated the little cartridge, link. It was expensive, hard to find, and a mega-pain-in-the-ass. She just found a company who could transfer all her old tapes to DVDs, and is overjoyed that they can finally be watched again, since the original VHS-C is long gone... much like working VCRs.

(Mom, in the background, at the VHS-C while I'm writing about it: What the hell is that?!)

You're welcome for sharing this no-longer useless knowledge. link
