For all the hopeful fans of the award winning Disney movie "Frozen," it might be saddening to hear there won\'t be any plans to film a "Frozen 2" sequel, at least for now. 

According to NZHerald, writer-director Jennifer Lee herself mentioned she\'s not working on any follow up flick to it.

"We\'ll see. Never say never. We are going to take a break and try something new maybe, see what happens," the director shared with E!News.

But Lee revealed that she is currently putting all her time on the Broadway adaptation of "Frozen."

Just like her work with co-director Chris Buck on the hit animated film, Lee is also the recent recipient of the Dorothy Arzner Directors Award.

The honor was presented to the first female director of a Disney animated flick on June 11 by presenter Kristen Bell who is also the voice behind Anna\'s character, states Variety.

She also did not hesitate to give advice to other female directors who want to go to greater heights in their chosen craft of directing. "Understand writing, understand directing. Not meaning you have to do it all but really understanding all the angles and producing and working with actors," Lee explained.

Lee first came to Disney to work on the "Wreck-It-Ralph" screenplay and was eventually asked to write for "Frozen." This then led to bigger responsibilities of taking the co-director\'s job with Buck.

The writer-director is also hoping to get one of the "Frozen" movie version\'s talents to take part in its Broadway musical adaptation.

It is understandable how the studio might have difficulties convincing the cast to reprise their roles as actual costumed characters in any story, even at "Once Upon A Time" of ABC, reports People.

Lee adds though that it is her dream to see Josh Gad on stage as the funny Olaf the Snowman. Even if there has not been any confirmation yet from the Tony nominated actor, the idea has not been ruled out.

"Frozen: The Musical" still has no date for its official opening but additional songs were already ordered up by Lee.

She even mentioned how she is even considering making the temperature really cold for the audiences and letting them wear mittens or hats.

"Our goal is we want to do something new that transcends the film and becomes its own thing. There\'s a potential to do something grander," the "Frozen" director explained.

"It is a cold story, but we have to find some warmth," Lee added.
