So are all the Sohma's related?

I'm confused and curious? there not all related right, at least not closely. From what i gathered there a enormous family and have lots of relatives and things like that and the curse is passed down. Can somebody help me understand this?

I think that the bloodline is very big- and so there are many of the "sohmas". If anda are talking about the zodiac< i think they are indirectly related... different families, but some of the same blood ( i like to put it as they are totally different from one another but just with the same last name). So yes... i think they are all somehow related, even if it's not genetically.

atau could it be that they are not related sejak blood...but just all magically appear to be "related"...?
