Game of Thrones A Game of What Ifs

Here is how this works:

The point is to ask a "What if" question (i.e. how would the story be affected if an event had happened differently than it did). Each poster must answer the "What If" posted previously and provide a new one so the thread keeps going. The only rule is that the "What If" posted must have had a significant impact on the story.

So let me start with this:

What if Robb executed Jaime Lannister?

The Lannisters would have killed Sansa in return when they found out. Perhaps Joffrey would have tortured her first, kinda like Ramsay Snow is torturing Theon Greyjoy. When Robb learned this he would rush to King's Landing and lay siege. Then the Tyrells would come and aid the Lannisters - Robb's army would be attacked from two sides and therefore slaughtered. Then Stannis would come and take King's Landing because the Lannisters and Tyrells were weakened.

What if Melisandre helped Stannis in the Battle of Blackwater?

He would be sent to the wall but on his way he would manage to escape and flee to Dragonstone where he would help Stannis conquer the Iron Throne. Perhaps become Stannis' Hand instead of Davos. I can also see Davos and Ned get along and work together.

What if Theon Greyjoy convinced his father and sister to side with The North and attack the Westerlands?

Robb would win the war and the Lannisters would go to hell !! Greyjoy and Stark would create strong political bonds....

or

Greyjoy would go behind stark's back and work with the lannisters to revenge the starks for taking Theon and killing his brothers.

She would be found by some bandits on the road and raped, then ransomed to her brother and mother. She would not be able to survive the road alone... unless somebody helped her. Bandits could also ransom her to the Lannisters and the same things that have happened to her would happen.

What if Tywin died on the battlefield against Robb Stark?

I guess Robb would have killed one of the most powerful men in Westeros:P Guess the war could be finished and he could have the North and rule as King. Get his sister back, and send Cersei her fathers' bones. Plus: he would save Winterfell with his bannermen and so save his little brothers, probably would execute Theon. And the Red Wedding would have never happened because he wouldn't have to marry one of Frey's daughters. Never met Talysa/Jeyne= would still be single^^
What if Jon executed Ygritte when he had to?

He would have caught up with the others and when the wildlings surprised them, he would have DIED. And the Watch wouldn't have a spy among the wildlings. They may take the Wall from the South and invade Westeros in the end.

What if Rhaegar never kidnapped Lyanna?

If Rhaegar never kidnapped Lyanna then robert's rebellion would have never happened and the targaryens would still rule westeros. Probably Rhaegar would be king by now.

What If Khal Drogo hadn't died??

He would have gather more people to create a larger army and then invade Westeros. Then the women of King's Landing would be raped and murdered, knights will die in a horrible way and Daenerys would sit on The Iron Throne. Then the other kings would try to seize the Iron Throne for themselves and there would be a huge war. BOOM!
So, what if Catelyn died instead of Renly? And he escaped with Brienne?

Stannis would have taken control of Renly's army anyway and sent men after them in pursuit. Brienne and Renly would have been hunted on four fronts - by Stannis, the Lannisters (for originally denying Joffrey as king) and the Starks and Tullys (who probably would have believed that they killed Cat). Both would have been killed soon enough, unless they had been caught by Robb Stark first. In which case, they may have received mercy and been kept as prisoners. Without Brienne and Cat to help him, Jaime Lannister would have remained with the Starks for another night or so, before being murdered by the restless Karstarks. Cue in-fighting between the Starks and Karstark soldiers, defeat for the Karstarks but at the cost of a decimated army for Robb Stark. The Lannisters would have won the next battle and Walder Frey wouldn't have even had a chance to organize the Red Wedding, with Robb either being dead on the battlefield or being taken to Kings Landing as prisoner.

What if the Red Wedding had just been a normal wedding with no murder plot?
