Of all the minor characters on Game of Thrones, perhaps none stands taller than Jon Arryn.

I remember visiting this website once...
It was called John Standing (Jon Arryn) shot a deleted scene with Cersei
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
, perhaps none stands taller than Jon Arryn. The former Warden of the East got all of zero lines in the series, but his death set the whole thing into motion. If Arryn hadn’t died, King Robert never would have asked Ned Stark to replace him as Hand of the King, Ned never would have come to King’s Landing, never would have had his head chopped off, and Westeros might be a far more peaceful place.
a video from Maycon Productions, actor John Standing reveals some interesting things about shooting the
pilot, in which he had the somewhat-thankless task of playing Jon Arryn’s corpse. In particular, he reveals that the producers actually filmed Jon Arryn’s death scene, and that it involved Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister).
That sounds like a badass scene—Cersei walking into the room during Jon Arryn’s final moments and keeping him from writing the truth about her incestuous children—and I’m sure Headey crushed it. A shame it was deleted.
I’m guessing this was a scene originally intended for the unaired
pilot, the one that was heavily reshot before it went to air and which included different actors in the roles of Daenerys Targaryen and Catelyn Stark, among others. Other bits from this unaired pilot have turned up on the internet before, like this shot of a flashback to the death of Brandon Stark in King Aerys’ throne room.
That’d be Sean Bean filling in for Brandon. Maybe one day the producers will release all the unaired footage from this pilot, and fans will delight in it.
It looks like the Dothrakis have finished up whatever they were filming in Ireland for Game of...
CAUTION: SPOILERS! Earlier today, Irish Thrones revealed some new developments from the Riverrun...

Brandon Stark scene would be well cool. And the looks on the faces of the king’s guards! Always wondered why HBO took the decision not to use flashbacks. I can list right now, straight off the top of my noggin and without pausing for breath about 2,873 flashbacks that I’d sell my granny to see! Honestly, no exaggeration.
Go ahead! She can’t move that fast and will forget in a moment anyway!
Yip, I’m heading for hell! I’ll enjoy the heat at least!
I didn’t realize the underground market was high on grannies!
I know a guy whose uncle was in the pilot (significant character but I’m not saying who 😜) but chopped following that. Trust me I’ve NAGGED & NAGGED & NAGGED for him to get his mits on a copy for me. No joy so far, may have to up the threat levels….
Standing talks about it in the video–starts around 0:15.
Ahhh…no sound at work. Have to listen later.
Daym Rock Eyes! Creepy as hell! Don’t count anyone deader than dead till ya see the Rocks on their eyes. Hint Hint .. I do know something’s
Holy crap a Brandon Stark flashback with aerys??! Why would such a scene be deleted? Why not cut the ridiculous scene with tyrion, his ridiculous bleached and never to be seen that blonde again hair and the whore scene. I would pay good money to see these deleted scenes.
Oh, to see the pilot! It makes sense for HBO to have surpressed it, but I keep hoping it will show up on the Internet. Maybe once the series is over there will be a mammoth-deluxe-extended edition-packed with extras box set that includes the pilot. It will look old and quaint and will be of no threat to the actual series by then. One can hope.
