It was called Gone Girl (film) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Gone Girl is an upcoming American mystery-thriller film based on the 2012 novel of same name written by Gillian Flynn, who also wrote the screenplay for the film. It is directed by David Fincher, and stars Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, Neil Patrick Harris and Tyler Perry. The film is scheduled for release on October 3, 2014.
Flynn has stated that the film will deviate from the novel, as its story will be structured differently.
Rosamund Pike as Amy Elliott-Dunne, Nick\'s missing wife
Neil Patrick Harris as Desi Collings, an ex-boyfriend from Amy\'s past.
Tyler Perry as Tanner Bolt, Nick\'s attorney.
Carrie Coon as Margo Dunne, Nick\'s twin sister.
Kim Dickens as Detective Rhonda Boney, one half of the team investigating Amy\'s disappearance.
Patrick Fugit as Detective Jim Gilpin, one half of the team investigating Amy\'s disappearance.
Casey Wilson as Noelle Hawthorne, Nick and Amy\'s nosey neighbor who claims to be Amy\'s best friend.
Missi Pyle as Ellen Abbott, a popular cable TV host, loosely based on Nancy Grace.
Sela Ward as Sharon Schieber, a popular cable TV host
Emily Ratajkowski as Andie Hardy, a college student who Nick gets involved with.
Kathleen Rose Perkins as Shawna Kelly, an overly friendly search volunteer.
Lisa Banes as Marybeth Elliott, Amy\'s mother.
David Clennon as Rand Elliott, Amy\'s father.
Scoot McNairy as Tommy O\'Hara, a former classmate of Amy\'s who allegedly sexual assaulted her.
Boyd Holbrook as Jeff, half of a couple who Amy deals with.
Lola Kirke as Greta, Jeff\'s partner who Amy meets.
Cyd Strittmatter as Maureen Dunne, Nick and Margo\'s mother
Gone Girl is directed by David Fincher. It is a film adaptation of the 2012 novel of same name by Gillian Flynn, who also wrote the adapted screenplay. One of the film\'s producers, Leslie Dixon, read the manuscript of the novel in 2011 and brought to the attention of Reese Witherspoon in December of that year. Witherspoon saw potential in producing Gone Girl as a film, and she and Dixon collaborated with Bruna Papandrea to develop it. They worked with Flynn\'s film agent Shari Smiley to meet with film studios in early 2012.
On September 11, the crew began filming establishing shots, which do not require actors.
Principal photography then began on September 15 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, with shooting expected to last about five weeks.
Some scenes will also be filmed in Los Angeles.
On January 21, 2014, Trent Reznor announced that he and Atticus Ross would once again work with Fincher to provide the score.
This will mark the third collaboration between them, following The Social Network and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
On December 27, 2013, Fox released an official still from the film.
Later on January 8, 2014, Entertainment Weekly posted an EW cover which featured the film.
On April 14, an official first trailer and a teaser poster for the film was released,
The film will have its world premiere as opening night of the 2014 52nd New York Film Festival.
