As for the reasons anda gave:
Slut - She was very physical with the boys she's dated (that was in the text). A lot of people consider that promiscuous and, sejak extension, slutty.

Boring: Matter of opinion.

Ugly: Again, matter of opinion. Just because JK wrote it that she was supposed to be pretty doesn't mean people see her that way.

Weak: There are other ways of being weak. Ginny is rarely seen without a boyfriend, she never gets over Harry. They could just mean her characterization. She wasn't a very well developed atau well rounded character.

I'm really indifferent towards Ginny. I don't think she's sluty, just because she was popular with guys. The only opinion we've ever heard on this was Ron's, who was apparently irritated sejak the facts that his liitle sister had boyfriends (come on, that conservative older brother style!) and his little sister had boyfriends before he ever had a girlfriend. And she is strong, beacause even though she loves Harry very much, she doesn't "bury" herself, goes on with her life and becomes much bolder than little girl we know in the first 2 books.
I think that most people who don't like Ginny are girls who can't get over the fact that she ended up with Harry. As to the charactirization of their mating as biased, I don't think that's true. Harry knows Ginny for many years and he thinks of her in a brotherly way because she's always Berlakon shy when he's around and, well, let's face it, she wasn't quite a "woman" in his eyes. But when he sees that they have common interests, that she's fun to hung out with, that she's pretty, he starts to think of her in a different way. Plus, he learns that "she's over him", so...
On the whole, I think Ginny is fine and people (FEMALES, actually) are jealous of her. And why shouldn't they?

THIS is the exact reason. Her character in buku 6-7 fails every single aspect of "show don't tell" rule: we are supposed to buy that she is "funny", but we don't actually SEE it, because there is nothing really funny in what she says atau does. Luna is funny, even Lavender is funny, because that's how they are WRITTEN. We are supposed to buy Ginny as a great Quiddich player, though there are a lot of girls who can play better than her. In book 6 she becomes all popular and cool and Harry's feelings for her barely make sense, because they totally come out of NOWHERE = another fail of "show don't tell" rule.

And to make it clear I do not hate atau dislike Ginny, lebih than that before book 6 I really liked her and thought she has much potential and I was so glad that in book 5 she seemed to get over Harry. But no, in book 6 JKR had to make it look like she never "truly give up on him" = never got a life and got over her childish and immature obsession over the famous boy. She didn't even know him, the real Harry, she was only attracted to the boy who lived. Book 6 was such a downfall for her character, also that scene where she insults Flear was absolutely horrible and showed Ginny in a terrible light, making her look like a bitch. It's such a shame that her character didn't get a proper developement.

I always felt that Ginny wasn't that interesting as a character, and she never really had an impact on me. actually, in the first 4 buku I didn't mind her, but in the 5th book her character suddenly changed, like out of nowhere. like in the first 4 buku it was hard for her to talk in front of Harry, and suddenly all better? it just never really made any sense. and in the sixth book, Harry suddenly fell in Cinta with her, and it was really rushed. we never had the chance to see how Harry slowly getting to know her better, it was like suddenly he was in hogwarts and fell in Cinta with her, and they never really hang out together (or maybe they did, but again, JKR did not write anything about it). so that's why I don't really like Ginny, and at the end I guess people may have liked their storyline, but for me it wasn't a good storyline at all.

Because Harry likes and Marries her and people are Jealous because they like Harry :D

I don't seem to mind her in the books, due to the mere fact theres no devolopment with her. But in the movies, for lack of a better phrase; she's a right creepy bitch.

My speculation is:

1. They think shes a Mary Sue
2. They're Weasley haters
3. They ship Harmione
4. The movie ruins her
5. She's not as complex as other characters.

A lot of people thought she was a very "Mary-Sue" type character and I think the reason why, is that there was never any real development with her character...she just kind of floated in and out. PLus, the only huraian we got of her was from Harry's point of view and when anda like someone, I guess anda tend to overlook their faults and focus on what anda like about them.
So, that's my opinion

I do like Ginny. I just don't like the Harry/Ginny pairing. It was rushed and forced. Harry showed no interest in Ginny romantically in the first five buku and then suddenly, out of the blue, he does in Half Blood Prince?

I think most people do like Ginny? At least it always seems like people disagree with me when I say I'm not a fan.
I don't really have anything against her, but I have absolutely no feelings for her and that's the problem. I feel that the readers never got to bond with Ginny. She doesn't have many flaws either. I think her tragic flaw was meant to be the fact that she's been overshadowed sejak her brothers all her life, but JKR kind of already used that one on Ron... I never really grasped her personality either, because at the beginning she was really shy and timid, then for a couple of buku we hear basically nothing about her and then all of a sudden she's the most popular girl in school and everybody (including Harry) likes her. That could happen in real life, but personally I'd have needed lebih of a reason to like her than just the fact that Harry does.

But I do think it's good she's portrayed as a bit promiscuous type of person. Girls aren't usually portrayed like that without a "punishment" but she is, and that's good from a feminist point of view.

Beacuse in the first book when she found out that Harry was Harry she was like "Mom can I go see him" i mean wats worng with her. also she does many things so harry can nothice her like,i think she must have thinking "dude look at me."

People are just jealous that she's Harry Potter's girl. She's pretty,nice and she's like a mini girl's version of Fred and George, and who doesn't like Fred and George? I like her, she's one of the few girls that we see that aren't dumb, *coughLavendercough* atau a jalang, perempuan jalang *coughChocough*.

Ginny is an okay character to me. I think she was pretty, brave, and maybe a bit of a slut. Shes alright. I can't imagine Harry with anyone else but Ginny. Ever since the saat book, I thought they should be together, but thats just me.

I don't really hate her, but I don't really like her either because she's...well for one thing in my opinion we don't know enough about her (she's seemingly important in the books, but we barely know anything about her character), she seems to be just thrown in there when JKR needed to find someone Harry needed to love, and she kind of Mary-Sueish to me (and I kind of can't stand Mary-Sue's). Oh, and remember this is just my opinion. Don't go crazy on me please :)

Look, JKR described her as being fun. Maybe JKR has a different sense of fun than I have, and so, I have the right to think that Ginny is boring.

Again, with the looks, maybe JKR has a different sense of who is pretty and who is not. For example, many people would disagree when I say Snape is very attractive whereas some may agree. Ginny being pretty- that was just an opinion. Not a fact. And we can say she's ugly.

But that's not why I don't like her. I think she is a slut, because she was pretty touchy in her relationships with sebelumnya boys. She dated exactly HOW many times? And I don't think she ever liked even one of those boys.

Plus, I think she's a flat character with no personality. She's not sweet- how many times have we seen her do something sweet? She's not caring- how many times have we been sure that she really cares for her family? None.

AND, I didn't have a problem with her in the books- but it's the Filem that got me pissed. Maybe Bonnie didn't play Ginny right. That could be another reason.

first of all - i dont hate ginny
i dont hate her but i dont like her particularly too. she annoys me sometimes but seriously amall trivial things like that wont make me go up against her.
as for the whole harry-ginny relationship - ive berkata all i think above when commenting so i wont repeat it . they r not my fav couple but that doesnt mean i hate them alright? so thats that!

When I first started HP Ginny used to be my favourite charecter. Now she has gone down on my scale. And I'm not a big peminat of the Ginny/Harry pairing. But Ginny is ok, she makes me laugh sometimes, I quite like Bonnie, but I don't think Ginny will ever be my favourite charecter again.
But she is quite cool.

I don't think most hate Ginny-in fact I've encountered very few who do! The thing is I liked Harry/Cho and most people always sneer at me and say she's a slut-I've never called Ginny a slut but most always seem to think Cho has had way lebih boyfriends than Ginny which annoys me and say she messed Harry around which is completely not true-they just didn't say the right thing at the right time and Harry actually ruined it in the end!

WELL anyway my reasons for not liking Ginny are not things like "slut/boring" and blah blah blah but are based on incidents which have made me dislike her!
At the start of the buku she was all sweet and nervous around Harry and I thought she was quite cute but then she gradually got lebih and lebih confident (which is a good thing) only for me she got over confident!
Incidents (all add up fro me):
1) Sixth book-Hermione has been nothing but kind to Ginny throughout all the books- building up her confidence and taking her out of her shell and telling her all about the Order in the fifth book when Ginny wasn't aloud to stay and hear. Ginny in the sixth berkata something to Hermione I can never forgive. Harry and Hermione were arguing about the "Oculmency" lessons (she was only looking out for him) and up pops Ginny and nosies into the situation and when Hermione mentions quidditch she says "Oh don't mention quidditch you'll only embarrass yourself!"-this remark was extremely catty and nasty and there was no need. Hermione is cleverer than them all but she never brags on about that and definitely not to Ginny!
2) Calling Fleur "Phlem"-Okay so you're thinking not a big deal! But Fleur is not a malicious girl. Infact she seems relatively brainy (she got into the tri-wiz) and Bill obviosuly loves her so why can't Ginny be a little lebih mature about it! She also says "I'd much rather have Tonks in the family"-she assumes that Bill would be marrying someone else if not for Fleur and I'm sorry but who's happiness with Bill's wife is lebih important. The husband atau the sister in law?! Husbands-duh-he has to live with her!
3) She called Luna 'Loony'-and that's not just Ginny of course as loads do but then later on as luna says "she stopped to boys calling me Loony the other day!"-bit of a hypocrite seeing as she called Luna 'Loony'.
4) In the last book when Cho turns up to the room of requirement-she offers to tunjuk Harry the statue so he'll know what the diadem looks like and he needs to go to the Ravenclaw tower as Voldi was scared he'd go there! He has to go with a Ravenclaw to get in!!! Cho has the idea and offers but Ginny goes "No Luna will take Harry won't you?!"

It is kinda easy. People don't like Ginny cause she likes Harry and a lot of people think that Harry is hot and they want Harry to be their boyfriend and Harry and Ginny get married which makes people hate Ginny more. I am not one of those people.

Most people hate Ginny because she is the Cinta of Harry Potter's life. I don't hate Ginny but if I did it would be because she is with my ideal guy.

Ginny's my kegemaran character! and so what she has boyfriends alot and kisses them! its not a big deal! i think she has a good personality and is very pretty! having so many older brothers made her tough! She doesn't sit there all hari and cry about Harry and shes always willing to fight even if the others wont let her!

I don't know. I personally find nothing wrong with Ginny and I like Harry and her together. I find it sweet that Harry married Ron's younger sister.

I do know that many people are not happy with the choice in actress to portray Ginny, in the Filem she doesn't really have a lot of lines. Not enough positive emotion is telah diberi to Ginny in the movies, she always looks solemn.

In the buku she didn't have a lot of her personality 'in action' so we didn't see a lot of who she is? Yes in Harry's opinion she is fun, but when did he really have a long conversation with her and when what showed US that she was fun? I just don't think Ginny was involved enough (as in he berkata she said)so a lot of people didn't understand how Harry fell for her.

I could be wrong, that's just my opinion...

I personally don't like her because I think that Ginny isn't in Cinta with Harry, she's in Cinta with the Boy Who Lived. She's in Cinta with the story of the hero who slayed the Dark Lord, not the abused boy who had to live under the stairs. When Harry saved her, that just made her even lebih obsessed with him. I think she's just a peminat girl who's older brother just happened to be Harry's best friend.
