Who do anda think is the greatest wizard of all times?

It is Dumbledore. Not only has Dumbledore achieved far lebih in magic than Voldemort, but Dumbledore has something Voldemort does not have; love. I know it's kinda corny, but the power of Cinta is so great, and Dumbledore has this. Voldemort does not, and it is largely because of this that Voldemort comes to his downfall. Sure, Voldemort may have gained lebih power than Dumbledore, but that is only because Dumbledore (in his later years) was not power-hungry. Dumbledore had the opportunity to become just as powerful if not lebih than Voldemort had, but he refused it. Dumbledore is also much wiser than Voldemort.

It depends on your interpretation of great. Great as in greatness, wisdom, knowledge, responsibility, atau powerful and all feared. I think before Dumbledore and Voldemort, the greatest Wizard of all time (and not only in Harry Potter but other pieces of fiction) is Merlin. I mean they always say his name (in Harry Potter), anda know like, instead of "oh my gosh" atau "goodness" atau "golly" atau "heck yea" atau something they say "oh Merlin" atau "merlin's beard"...right?
but anyway, in my opinion, Dumbledore is greater than Voldemort 'cause even Voldemort fears him.

well definitely it is dumbuldore!!!! anda c voldemort is the darkest wizard of all times people even fear his name, but that particular dark wizard fears none other than 'dumbuldore' himself! which proves that dumbuldore is the greatest wizard of all times! =)

well between voldemort and dumbledore i believe that dumbledore is the gratest... coz he's really powerful, knows magic that voldemort doesn't (e.g. the deathly hollows), isn't blinded when he grows up sejak his ambition, can understand the others (while voldemort haven't even realized that snape was still in Cinta with lilly), respects "small" things (like fairytales, the magic elfshes can perform) ...

Dumbledore is the best wizard. VOldemort doesn't understand the most powerful type of magic (love) so Dumbledore wins.

I think that no one is the best. All our good for different reasons.
Voldemort... This guy is so feared people dont say his name, he's great at magic and he made himself semi-immortal.
Dumbledore... is the guy Tom fears. He helped bring him down, he made so many additions to the wizarding world,he had peminat-peminat and Friends (touche Voldemort!) and he ended up a good person even wiht hsi troubled path.
Harry... ended it all. He survived a direct killing curse without Lilly's protection, he was ready to sacrifice his life, he has a stable sense of what evil is, he's won against voldemort quite a few times and he has many friends. I mean, this guy has the biggest hear.

Between the powerful guy wiht the heart, the powerful guy who is feared, and the powerful-helpful one, its hard to pick!

Dumbledore for sure, he's older and has proved that the experiences he's had through his life has made him lebih wise, also the decisions he makes prove that aswell. Therefore he posseses lebih knowledge and if anda disagree, pick up a dictionary. OH, better yet I'll ablige:

Wise' adj having intelligence and knowledge; sensible. wisdom knowledge, learning; erudition.

He's a professor at a school. There I proved my point.

Dumbledore, The only one he ever feared. While everyone feared Voldermort, he feared Dumbledore. That meant a lot, because Voldemort was a very powerful wizard and still, he only feared Dumbledore. And Dumbledore is greater than Voldemort because even though Dumbledore could have became a dark wizard, with lebih power than Voldemort had, he didn't.

First off: the greatest wizard of ALL TIME is Merlin. That's why it's the Order of Merlin.

Secondly: In the duel between Dumbledore and Voldemort, going sejak the books, Dumbledores concentration is perpecahan, berpecah 4-7 ways the whole time! And he's still beating the crap out of Voldemort who only has to pay attention to Dumbledore. Plus the fact that Dumbledore was the only person who could ever beat an owner of the Elder Wand in the duel, and that he goes his whole life being undefeated, there is no greater wizard than Dumbledore (except for Merlin).

The only reason Dumbledore dies is so that Snape can get deeper into the bulatan of Death Eaters, and so Malfoy won't be punished sejak Voldemort. And even then, in the seventh book it says that Dumbledore still never Lost a single duel in all his life! He is murdered, and is still undefeated! That's not easy to do!

out of how much i HATE voldmort, he is da most powerful. then again Harry does beat him in end of da deathly hallows part2. so maybe its Harry.

Well, Harry defeated Voldemort, so obviously Voldemort can be defeated. Dumbledore's really powerful, but he has some weaknesses. At the end of book 7, he berkata that he was not the right man to unite the Deathly Hallows. He berkata that Harry was the best person to do that, so I think Harry is the greatest wizard of all time.

Dumbledore without a doubt. It wasn't that Dumbledore hadn't the potential to be the most powerful wizard of all time, it was that he chose not too. His power, I believe, is greater than Voldemort's but Dumbledore didn't mingle in dark magic which would give Voldemort an advantage. Dumbledore actually did mingle in dark magic when his friend Grindelward was beside him but the reality of his sister dying brought him to realise.
So in a way the power of Cinta is stronger than the Cinta of power.
If Dumbledore had become a dark wizard, he'd bring far lebih damage than Voldemort, and I doubt anyone'd be able to bring him down because he is cleverer, wiser, lebih cunning, and isn't arrogant. It's voldemort's arrogance that caused him to overlook the fact there may be a spy amongst his deatheaters.
The only reason why Voldemort seems lebih powerful is because he's done bad things - terrible things whilst Dumbledore hasn't. Meaning Voldemort showed his power for the world to see while Dumbledore kept his hidden. Dumbledore is lebih powerful, that's why he was the only wizard Voldemort was scared of. But time has weakened Dumbledore and he doesn't have all the dark magic and objects (horcruxes) to aid him, so he slowly grew to be less powerful than Voldemort.

Dumbledore. If I were to sit here and explain all of my reasons, we'd still be sitting here seterusnya Easter. To keep it short, I'll share my bahagian, atas 2.

#1. Dumbledore was neverafraid of Death the way Voldemort was.

#2. Dumbledore gave everyone, even those from thhe other side, a saat chance.

Dumbledore is THE greatest wizard of ALL time and not his worst critic can deny this fact. He won all the awards as a student, was the most distinguished wizard internationally, he gave up his career for his family, inspire of being the most deserving candidate and being offered several times, he did not become the minister for magic, he defeated the greatest dark wizard of his time, he defeated the possessor of the Elder wand, he was the only one who Voldermort feared, the most loved and respected Head master of Hogwarts, he taught Harry Potter everything he Harry knew, he made Hogwarts the safest place on earth, not even the ministery could send him to Azkaban when he did not want to go, he taught Harry everything Harry ever learnt, he planned for Voldermort's death, it was he who planned everything that everyone did which led to Voldermort's death.
So it is only stupid to call anyone other than the greatest the greatest.

I see many people saying Dumbeldore but it obviously is wrong dont get me wrong here he obviously is the greatest wizard of this time but greatest of all times... I think it should be Merlin but then again he is credited as the most famous wizard of all time in pottermore. not the strongest so i would root for salazar slytherin atau godric gryffindoor.
