I didn't think it was Hagrid the first time I saw the movie because I had read the book beforehand. When I read the book for the first time, I was in denial. "No, it can't be Hagrid. It just can't." When I found out the truth, *SPOILER* I was like "HA! See, I was right, suckers!

Anyways, my answer is no. When I first watched it, I was a kid, and I didn't really pay attention to it. So I never even suspected Hagrid in the first place. Anyways, Hagrid's awesome, and I doubt he would do anything like that...
