Gossip Cop can exclusively report that the two stars were not eating together at the sushi spot.

On Friday, Hilton spread a report suggesting that Perry and Styles may have “wined and dined over their mutual dislike” of Taylor Swift.

The gullible copycats at HollywoodLife eagerly picked up the story — and then embellished it by citing a phony “eyewitness” who said Perry and Styles “had dinner together… just the two of them.”

“There’s no truth” to the story, an impeccable source close to the situation exclusively tells Gossip Cop. “They just happened to be in the same place at the same time.”

Perry and Styles “did not dine together,” we’re assured.
